Once detail operational is laid down on paper, there comes a stage when the plan need to be implemented and finally result are analyzed and any deviation from plan investigated and lesson learn will applied for the next term of planning.

The organization I am going to use for the purpose of this assignment is named as K.K hotels. It required it is fictitious organization which is located in central London and has total over capacity of accommodate two hundred people with a restaurant which provide meal to guest living with in the hotel and to those which are outsiders.

Goal of K hotel

Our goal is to become a premier chain of hotel located all over country with next five years with a name of strong financial position and having customer base over 20,000 customers in a year.

Objectives of KK hoter

KK hotel is new name in hotel industry therefore our objective for the first year of operation is to attract to new customers and maintain a capacity of at least 90% during the peak time and 60% during off peak time.

Our hotel will locate in the centre of city of London near Victoria station. We have done strategic analysis environment using PEST to determine external factors which can influence our strategy .

Political:

The political environment in united kingdom very encouraging for the companies from across the world and therefore we don’t any resistance of any kind from government as UK government believe in free market and London is one of the centre of global business.

Economic Factors:

Global recession has cause great damage to travel and hospitality industry but as world is recovering from the recession, the prospects for the future economic environment are optimistic and give green signal to KK hotel in order launch its hotel chain in UK.

UK was in recession till last year but it is expected to overcome its negative growth and revival of tourism together partnerships within international organization working in tourism industry lead to a world which is more connected and with increase in tourism and cooperation between countries, the prospect of success of hotel increase.

Social Factors:

London in particular and United Kingdom in general is become one of hot destination for tourist and centre of global corporations. British government and people are very positive on having outsiders visiting their country and even support as much as possible and therefore there isn’t any significant social issue with market for hotel.

Technological Factor :

Technology is very important in today’s global business environment and companies have gain considerable edge through technological innovation. In hotel industry technology is equally important and our customers expect least hassle in booking the room and other service which can be fulfill only through technology. Many of our potential competitors are using a sophisticated technology in order to attract and retain customers. Possible use of technology in hotel industry is fully integrated system for online booking from remote sites using internet etc.

The analysis done through give us most of the important information on external factors which must take into account in order to develop our strategy to achieve our objectives and goal. There is another important model known as Porters five forces model. The porter five force model is very important to understand force affecting a organization strategy and include following

The opening of new hotel in the centre of London requires lots of resource including financial and others and therefore not every one can afford open new hotel but as there is lots of potential to generate revenue and growth in this industry the threat of entry from both local and international players is significant and may affect the future revenue of business.

Customer for a hotel are normally most favorable place as there are wide variety of choice and opportunities, situation is further worsen by severe competition and constant threat from new entrants therefore customer in this industry have high bargaining power.
