Welcome to Issues in Japan.
I will introduce a talk between Mr. Yoshihisa Komori, one of Japan's leading international journalists and Distinguished Professor at Reitaku University, and Mr. Nobukatsu Kanehara, one of Japan's leading diplomats.
Mr. Nobukatsu Kanehara served as Assistant Chief Cabinet Secretary in the Shinzo Abe Cabinet from 2012, and also as Deputy Secretary General of the National Security Secretariat from 2014, and he retired in 2019.
The common theme of the talk is the "Diagnosis of Japan's foreign policy".
