* "Spanish Flea" is a popular song written by Julius Wechter in 1965. The song is best known from an instrumental version by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass, released as a B-side to the single "What Now My Love" and on their 1965 album Going Places.
Julius Wechter (May 10, 1935 – February 1, 1999) was an American musician and composer who played the marimba and vibraphone. He also played various percussion instruments and was leader of The Baja Marimba Band.
