Raku and Kyoto

I went to Kyoto to see the group exhibition of sake-ware.


Before going to see them, I went to Raku Museum where I’ve always wanted to go.


I felt that it was a very wonderful place.
Because that was a quiet place and I could give my full attention to Raku ware.
Moreover, I could stand face-to-face with and reflect on myself through them.

After that, I ate Ozoni with white miso.

It was delicious!!

楽美術館、ちんぎれ屋、ふたばの豆餅、白味噌のお雑煮、うるう
やっぱり、京都は好き！！

また来たいな。今日は親とも合流出来て良かったナリ☆

One day in the cafe, I learned of Ikenami's book from a person who sat next to me.
He gave his hearty recommendation to his friends.

So, I was interested in and read it.

お正月に京都に行った際、たまたま入った喫茶店の隣の席で、
おっちゃんが、その知り合いの人にめっちゃ勧めていた本。
気になったので、購入。

また時間を置いて、読んでみたいな。

wood-chopping

今日は薪割りのお手伝い。
役に立ててれば良いのだけれど・・・。

やっぱり、一緒に体を動かさせて頂いて良かった。
薪の割り方だけでなく、薪をどう積み上げるか。
＆周りへの気遣い。


誰かが見ているとか見ていないとか、そんな事は関係なく、
少し手間をかければキチンと出来ることは、手を抜かず、
綺麗に仕上げる。

作業場の近くで咲いていた白椿もそんな事を伝えたかったのかな？
少し寒かったけれど、お手伝いに行かせてもらって良かった☆




夜は、円卓で中華！
みんなで一つのテーブルに集うのは良いもんや(#^^#)

Udatsu

I had a chance to go to Ueda (Nagano) on business and I went to Yanagi-machi which
still has the scenery reminiscent of the old days.


I saw "Udatsu" and bought "Shinshu-Miso".


上田・柳町へ。
一区画だけだけれど、昔ながらの建屋、町並みを大事に残そうとしていて、まぁ良い感じ！
菱谷でみそを買い、卯建（悦）を見ながらぶらりと散策。
途中にある酒屋さんの軒先には杉玉があり、お酒を買いたかったけれど、そこは我慢。。。

仕事前に少し町を散策出来て満足ナリ。

Mt. Toganoo

visited oldest tea garden in Japan (Kyoto/ Kozanji temple)



I felt calm and composed. And there are a lot of beautiful moss.

2016

I hope the New Year finds you in good health and excellent spirit!

My family members gathered and ate "Osechi" together.
And after that, we visited a shrine at the beginning of the new year.
I was very happy to have a nice time and peaceful New Year with my family.


This is the year of the monkey in Chinese Zodiac.


FYI; in present-day Japan we make use of it only to refer to years.
But until the EDO Period it was widely used to show time and directions.

Mt. Takatori

I went back to my hometown, Kobe.
And went on a hike to Mt. Takatori where near my old high school.

On my way to the top, I found the preparations for new year's day and a beautiful camellia.



Anyway, I love the view from there.
