米国 90,000顧客データのテープが紛失 [2006/01/16]

　Gerecke氏は physicist and storage expert at IBM Deutschland GmbHです。
　Hard-drive disksに対しても悲観的で、結論的なものとして：
　 "To overcome the preservation limitations of burnable CDs, Gerecke
　　suggests using magnetic tapes, which, he claims, can have a life span
　　of 30 to 100 years, depending on their quality."

テープのメディアは理論的に良いとしても、I/Oパフォーマンスがアレだし、
メカニカルな障害も怖いです。
