Silent Final E in English
There are hundreds of words in English that end with a silent E.
The silent final E sometimes affects the pronunciation of the word, sometimes doesn’t.
For example, in “curve” and “blue”, the e does not affect each word’s pronunciation.
The e is there so the words wouldn’t end in v or u; because English words usually do not end in v or u.
