Representatives from the region, where one-third of the world's refugees are, will attend the June 13 symposium hosted by the Tokyo-based Japan Association for Refugees (JAR).
The meeting will bring together lawyers, aid workers and academics from the United States, Australia, South Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Thailand, as well as Japan.
