大会25日目の結果。いよいよ決勝戦。Italy(ITA)
France(FRA)だ。前半7分にFrance(FRA)にPKのチャンスがあり、Zinedine Zidaneが決めて1点先取。
しかし前半19分にCKからItaly(ITA)のMarco Materazziがヘッドで決めて同点になる。
結局、このまま後半、延長前後半と点数が入らず、決勝戦としては史上2度目となるPK戦に突入した。
PK戦では1本目は両チームとも決めたが、2本目でFrance(FRA)が外した。
その後、3本目、4本目と両チームとも決めた為、Italy(ITA)が5本目を決めた瞬間、Italy(ITA)の優勝が決まった。
FIFA World Cup GERMANY 2006の頂点はItaly(ITA)に決まった。
…と、ここまではとりあえず、Italy(ITA)おめでとう！ってところだが、実は凄いコトがあった。
このワールドカップで引退を表明しているFrance(FRA)のZinedine Zidaneだ。
何と！延長後半5分にItaly(ITA)のMarco Materazziに「どーんっ！」っと頭突きをした！
ヘッドバットだ。すげーっ！
何から何まで凄いぞ！Zinedine Zidane！
「レッドカードなんか関係ねーよ！俺ぁ、もう辞めるんじゃ！」って感じでしょうか…。
愛すべきキャラ、Zinedine Zidaneが「伝説」になった瞬間だった。
ちなみに今大会のMVP(最優秀選手)はZinedine Zidaneだ
