IIRCとSASB、Value Reporting Foundation（VRF）（価値報告財団）を設立（VRF）

国際統合報告評議会（IIRC）とサステナビリティ会計基準審議会（SASB）は、2021年6月9日、両団体が合併し、Value Reporting Foundation（VRF）を設立したことを、正式発表しました。

The International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) today officially announce their merger to form the Value Reporting Foundation.

The Value Reporting Foundation supports business and investor decision-making with three key resources: Integrated Thinking Principles, Integrated Reporting Framework and SASB Standards. These tools help businesses and investors develop a shared understanding of enterprise value and how it is created, preserved or eroded over time.

The Value Reporting Foundation is also committed to the delivery of a more coherent corporate reporting system by working closely with the IFRS Foundation and other leading framework providers and standard-setters around the world.

「IIRCは、「国際統合報告フレームワーク」を開発・普及することによって、財務情報と非財務情報を統合的に報告するアプローチを提案してきました。SASBは、将来的な財務インパクトが高いと想定されるESG要素に焦点を当てたSASBスタンダードを提供しており、11セクター77業種についてのサステナビリティ関連指標を提示しています。

近年、国際的に、企業の長期的価値に関連する気候変動等のサステナビリティについての情報開示の重要性が急速に高まっています。こうした環境の変化を踏まえ、両団体は、より包括的で一貫した企業報告の枠組みの構築を求める企業・投資家に応える観点から、合併しVRFを設立しました。

今後、VRFは、「統合思考原則」、「統合報告フレームワーク」、「SASBスタンダード」の３つの重要なリソースを活用して、企業及び投資家の意思決定をサポートし、企業価値についての共通理解を図っていくとしています。」
