Andersen strengthens foothold in UK

Andersen Globalという、アーサー・アンダーセンの元パートナー２３人が設立した事務所がもとになっているグローバル組織が、英国で今年3つめ（全世界では15番目）の事務所が加盟するなど、急拡大しているという記事。

Andersen Globalは、Andersen Taxという米国の事務所が2013年に設立したグローバル組織ですが、各国の事務所との合併や提携、専門家チームの新規雇用により、現在、税務実務家や弁護士など、3千人強のスタッフをかかえ、107カ所の拠点を誇るまでになっています。

Andersen Global, which was founded in 2013 by US firm Andersen Tax, appears to be on a fast track to global domination. It is growing rapidly through a combination of mergers with local firms, collaboration agreements, and recruiting complete teams of professionals plus partners (often to set up new offices).

It currently boasts a 3,000-strong professional staff of tax practitioners and lawyers and a presence in 107 locations.

もともとのWTASという事務所は、アーサーアンダーセンの崩壊後、その23人のパートナーたちによって2002年に設立されました。その後、名称に関する権利を取得して、2014年にAndersen Taxに事務所名を変えています。

The original US firm, WTAS, was set up in 2002 by 23 Arthur Andersen partners following the collapse of the Big Five firm. Since then they have steadily bought up the rights to the iconic name and branding and eventually changed their name to Andersen Tax in 2014.
