Gifu / Mount Kinka

Mount Kinka ( 金華山）in Gifu City,Gifu Prefecture,Japan./ Mount Kinka is located to the north of the JR Gifu Station.Mount Kinka reises to a height of 329m,previously called Mount Inabe,it has long served as the representive ,symbol of Gifu. It stands along the Nagara River ,creating bountiful nature within the City. Thought it is the most famous mountain in the City,Mount Dodo ,to the north,is the tallest. First built by the Nikaido family during the Kamakura period,Gifu Castle stop Mt,Kinka has gone through many forms with the curret building being constructed in 1956.One of its first major residents was Saito Dosan,who lived in the castle when it was still called Mt,Inaba...../Visit Date:2020.7.24.13;30pm~16:30pm./
