The Star☆Club, Hamburg (Germany), December 1962 The Beatles at The Star Club concerts are the earliest known complete live concerts of The Beatles. The recordings were made by the Star-Club's stage manager Adrian Barber, during The Beatles' third and final residency at the venue. Barber used a 3?" per second Grundig home tape machine to record the group, with a single microphone placed at the front of the stage. Although commonly believed to have been recorded on New Year's Eve 1962, the songs were actually taped on more than one night during the residency, which took place from 18 to 31 December 1962. The Beatles' early booking agent, Allan Williams, claimed that around three hours of performances were recorded between Christmas and New Year's Day.

‡25 June 1966 Grugahalle, Essen, In the morning The Beatles were driven in a fleet of Mercedes cars, flanked by police on motorcycles, to Munich railway station. From there a special train took The Beatles from Munich to Essen for two shows at the Grugahalle. Between the two shows The Beatles held a press conference and enjoyed a meal in their dressing room. Following their second performance at the Grugahalle they boarded the train once more to travel to Hamburg, arriving at around 2am.

キャバーンのランチタイムショーの後、ビートルズはセント･へレンズ (St. Helens) に移動し、プラザ･ボールルーム (Plaza Ballroom) に初めて出演した。このプラザはウェットストーン･エンターテイメント (Whetstone Entertainment) が経営し、この地域にさらに2つのダンスホールを支配下においていた。1つはリヴァプールのオレル･パーク (Orrell Park)、もう1つはチェスター (Chester) のリバーパーク (Riverpark) であった。ビートルズはこの日の出演報酬として25ポンドを支払われている。しかし1年も経たない
1963(昭和38)年03月04日(月)の最後のプラザ出演では4倍の100ポンドが支払われる。

1960(昭和35)年06月25日(土) ワラシーのグロブナー・ボールルームで、地元リヴァプールのプロモーターのレス・ドッド主催のダンス・パーティでシルヴァー・ビートルズが演奏。
1961(昭和36)年06月25日(日) 2度の契約更新の後、2度目のハンブルグ巡業が4月1日より7月1日まで行われ、92日間、のべ503時間トップ・テン・クラブのステージに立つ。前回の最初のハンブルグ巡業と並んで、ビートルズのスタミナと実力を飛躍的に向上させた有意義な巡業となった。
1962(昭和37)年06月25日(月) 昼はキャバーンクラブでランチタイム・セッションに出演。夜はへレンズのプラザ・ボールルームに出演し25ポンド（当時のレートで約￥27,000）のギャラを受け取った。

┃ ＢＢＣの新番組『POP GO THE BEATLES』の初収録！ ┃
┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛半世紀前の今日1963(昭和38)年5月24日(金)、BBCで6月から始まるビートルズのラジオ番組『Pop Go The Beatles』の初収録が行われました。放送時間は毎週火曜日午後5時から5時29分まで、第一回放送日は6月4日。異例の大抜擢をしたＢＢＣ。後のビートルズを考えれば、彼らの番組を作るというのは極々当然のように思えます。しかし、この時点では、たった2枚のヒット・シングルを出しただけの海の物とも山の物ともつかぬ新人バンドのビートルズ・・・そういった新人バンドにシリーズものの番組を作るということは、BBCとしては「思い切った」といっていい決断だったと思います。当初、4回分の制作が決定し、様子を見ながら11回分追加することに・・・リズム＆ブルースが中心に！ビートルズの意向で、オリジナルより、昔から演っているリズム＆ブルースの曲に重きが置かれるという選曲で、毎週6曲程を披露することに・・・“アイドルと云うオブラートに包まれたものでない、本来の自分たちの姿をお見せしよう”といったところなのではないでしょうかね？この番組、ビートルズの演奏と共に、毎回、彼らが選んだゲストも登場するといった内容・・・曲の時間が短いといっても、29分の中で6曲の演奏とゲストという、結構、盛りだくさんの内容ですね！今日は、4回分の曲目とゲストを列挙してみました。注目すべき点は、ご覧になるとお分かりになりますが、この時点で、後に公式録音されるカヴァー曲が4曲演奏されているといったところでしょうか・・・
