George was happy just about anywhere city or country.
But Jumpy squirrel jump from tree to tree, because that's about the only place he thought comfortable.

Hey, is that Jumpy squirrel?
I don't know what the guy's doing. I didn't get a good look at it.

A monkey like Curious George can't stand the mystery.

You wanna go back and see what's up, don't you?
Okay, but remember, be a good little monkey.
Hey, George. Boy, for city kids, He's one fast runner.
He saw a work man back on the road and has to see what he was doing.
Didn't you see here? To put it up a traffic light.
A traffic light? Have though country? Well, I guess you can't stop progress.

Jumpy squirrel couldn't stop, Because he was busy gathering up nuts to store for winter. And he found a lot of them across the road.

Oh, those brunches blocked the light.
See you.

Jumpy was sure this was how to cross the road. And what was that thing? What happened here?
There was no way to get back safely.

George noticed the people seem to like red a lot, because they all stoped and looked at it. People all liked red, didn't like green. When the light turned green, everybody drove away. And when it came to yellow, so far the people only liked it enough to slow down to look a little bit.

The light was always changing. People didn't get much time to enjoy the favolite colors.
So George thought of the way to make it more suitable everyone.
George made a special green side, because someone would like green was bound to show up. A yellow side for those who my prefer yellow. And red side which George protected whould be the most popular.

Wow! Never saw a light all through green before. That's cool man.

George was thrilled. The green like was a winner.

Guess they're never gonna turn red. What a great idea. I hate stopping.

Yellow another winner.

Isn't this like ever going to turn green?

Look at all those cars. Red sure was populler. This was the best idea he ever had. But Jumpy squirrel wasn't quite as pleased. Since nobody stopped look at green, he never felt safe enough to cross the road. Maybe Jumpy wasn't the only one who didn't apriciate George's work.

What's going on here? Move it!

George didn't understand why they wern't happy. If they didn't like it, why didn't they just drive pass the red light.

Oh, hiya, George? Hiya, George? You see, this is my boat troubles always bask.
Hi Clint.
Hi Wint.
George, you remember my brother Wint?
Hey, George.
I was proceeding northward then didn't encounter station aera vehicles. So I should investigate it, hum?
That's not right.
Thanks, Wint.
Oh, did you do this? But not George. You are from city. You must see traffic lights every day. Don't you know how they work?

George only paid attention to the lights to turn the window walk. Those other lights were for drivers. And he didn't drive.

Well, you're young and you're a monkey, but you should try to be more curious about important things. Well, it's simple. Green means the car should go. Yellow means slow down, red means the car have to stop. Don't into fill without a light while it's performing its duty. Okay, George? I don't feel no want to put a traffic light out here in the middle of nowhere. Seems wrong.

The light was out, but that wasn't so bad. It was even there yesterday. Except yesterday Jumpy had his branch bridge to cross the road on. Then George thought of something he could do the help.
Since George now understood how to a traffic light worked.
He was ready to be one.
With George in charge the traffic light was better than before.
At least it was better for squirrels.

George, you promised to let the light perform its duty.
What? Oh, it's not performing its duty. I apologize, George. But get down.
Hey, that's the squirrel (that) I always witness proceeding across the road on those high brunches. Um. Oh, did he cut off the squirrel crossing for that light? We don't even need this light. There's hardly any traffic? Well, George, Squirrel, Chicken and Chicks, too. I am going to see if this situation is font color="blue">resolved. That's my job.

It turned up they put that light up on the wrong corner. It was meant to go up the middle of town. Wint Quint, Crint Quint put up a temporary squirrel bridge until the tree branches could grow back.
And George decided to look at traffic lights back in the city. May be some of them need the monkey.
