Don't be too brave, my dear boy.

Yesterday afternoon, our dog, Messhi, started barking suddenly without reason. Maybe it looks so 'cause he's got more acute sense than we human beings.
Usually I bind him with a lead when we go for a walk, but this time I let him go outside freely, thinking "It's just a short while. He can go and see there's nothing to be afraid of."
He ran to our back garden and started sniffing the ground. Then he went up a slope and disappeared into bamboo bushes. At first I couId hear his footsteps, but finally it became hard for me to catch the sound of his moving through the bushes. I called his name again and again and clapped my hands 'cause I was afraid he would lose himself in the mountain.
It was getting dark. I got back home and said to Father and Mother his disappearing. I went back the back garden and started going up the slope which Messhi went up. Mother said, "Don't go any further, or you will fall." Yes, the slope was too steep for me to go up. Slowly I went down the slope and stood on the ground of the back garden.
Then I caught a rustling sound. I said, "Messhi, Messhi, come back here." and clapped my hands. Then I caught sight of his little body and he came back to us.
I should remember that he is a descendant of wolfs, a natural hunter.
