真夏の花と思案すれば蓮の花を思いつき、以前人から聞いた小野市の蓮池に行ってみました。
昼下がりの播州平野には暑さを冷ますかのように風が吹き渡っており、柳の枝を踊らせていました。
風は目に見えないけどその存在は捉えることが出来たような気がします。

I never get tired of watching Lotus flowers. They are such a wonder. They start out with a flower that looks a little like pond lillies, then they slowly transform into a fruit basket that looks like a shower head. Finally they produce greyish nuts that you can eat. And even the root is delicious to eat. I wish we could grow Lotus here in Oregon (^_^)
I ate the fruit of the lotus in a childhood.
It was a natural snack.
