Broadcom Acquires Siliquent Technologies[05/07/20]

Broadcom社が Siliquent Technologiesというファブレス Ethernet Processing
Unit (EPU) for high performance storage and computingメーカを買収しました：

Siliquent Technologies社 ( http://www.siliquent.com/ ) は Webによると、
去年の 6月に
　Industy´s First iWARP-Compliant 4 Gb and 10 Gb Ethernet Processors
　Devices Combine RDMA-over-TCP/IP, iSCSI and TCP/IP Offload Capabilities,
　Allowing Ethernet to Satisfy All Data Center I/O Needs
を開発したメーカです。PCIボードも製造していたようですので、どこか(HP?)
から OEMされていた可能性もあります。
　ちなみに Gigabit Ethenetまでだったら Broadcom社は自社チップ BCM5706を
アナウンスしています：

これは既にボードが出荷されているはずです。
買収で 10Gb迄ラインナップを揃えるようですね。


さらに、Broadcom社は TOE(TCP Offload Engine)の老舗メーカの Alacritech社
とも提携していました (今回の買収の一週間前)：
