This is an ok song. I'm not too fond of the male vocals by Michael Affrick. He looks like a gimp. The lyrics are kinda cheesy and the rap is just LAME.

Asami Abe - Our Song

I've heard people call her Alien-Nacchi - and she certainly sounds like an alien in this song. There's this one horrible shrieking part that still haunts me from the first time I heard it. This was her second song [thanks for correcting me, Icey!] and I think it came out around the time when TATU were at the height of their popularity - you can hear the strong resemblance to their techno-pop. I'm not a fan of this song and she can't sing very well - but she's gotten better since.

I don't like Ayaya's hair here. It's a really bad cut and kinda looks like a wig to me. I haven't actually bothered to watch this video all the way through before uploading it today - it's kinda boring. Who is the guy playing the guitar? Does he really need to be in the video? ￢__￢

Yay! Ayaya's new song! <3 It's from the tea commercials - and so is the pv. The pv is made up of all the commercials and a few extra Ayaya bits. It's a really nice soft-rock song - a welcome change to all the ballads she's had lately.


OMG! Look at the indirect kiss she has when she drinks from that guy's bottle!! *cough* yeah.. that's something a fanboy might say...

Hayami Kishimoto - Aisuru kimi ga soba ni ireba

This is one of my favourite songs from her. She doesn't seem to have many fans - or they're just not very vocal about it (me included). She's one of GIZA's only dancing pop idols. The video is filmed in an american style mega-mart where you buy everything in bulk. Look at the two black guys trying to look cool XD Hayami takes the worst fake bite out of a lemon I've ever seen and then puts it in her cart XD She's also wearing the best top that says "BLACK WOMEN UNITED" on it XD

Mini Moni's last song! It was one of their best too. It was for their drama, The Bremen Town Musicians. I like the final scene in the video when they're eating the giant shaved ice thing and it looks like Mika's about to feed Nono a spoonful - Kago sees this and copies her by feeding Takahashi - but then Mika eats it herself XD Evil <3 YOU'RE TOO LATE!!

Tsubaki - Sea of Love

I completely adore the english version and this japanese version is good too. I wonder how it's been selling. It was used in the past couple of episodes of Densha Otoko but it was really faint in the background. Hopefully they'll play it louder in the final episode and then sales will pick up. Tsubaki is pretty but she's got some dodgy teeth...

er... interesting lyrics <_< Attack All Around or AAA (Triple A) are a new AVEX co-ed group consisting of 5 guys and 3 girls. One of the interesting things about them is that they all do acrobatics - even the girls. That's not something you see everyday! Their debut song is for the Initial D movie and it's a mixture of pop, rap, dance and trance. The PV and performance are very cool - even if the english rap is questionably lame lol They're all around 19 years old which makes me feel old even though I'm only 22 ;-;

They're releasing 1 single every month till January @_@ That's five singles..

There are quite a few movies out now that are based on manga and anime. There's Nana and Initial D and now Touch. This song isn't the theme song but it is featured in the Touch movie. It's ok but I think her vocals are bit too soft or aren't intense enough. It's also weird seeing her out from behind her piano and dancing <_<

EE Jump - Ikina Rhythm!

EE Jump consisted of Sonim and Yuki Goto - Maki Goto's younger brother. They disbanded because Yuki got caught at a bar or something while he was underage and Sonim tried to carve out a solo career with limited success :'(

This is one of my favourite Mai Kuraki songs <3 It brings back so many memories of when I first got into Jpop.

The Mini Moni movie marked the end of Mari's leadership and spawned two of the best songs they've ever had (in my opinion).

This is one of my favourite Mini Moni songs - it's just pure, concentrated MiniMoni.. even though it has Takahashi and the H!P BABIES in it <_<

This is the performance from a few weeks ago. Don't Verbal and Taku look short compared to Akiko? XD In the promo pictures they must have been standing on boxes or Akiko was standing in a ditch XD. Taku sounds a bit gay XD

I was wondering why Verbal said that Akiko was his Japanese sempai and it turns out Verbal is also a Japanese-born Korean like Akiko - I never would have guessed

The theme song to Final Fantasy XII is called Kiss Me Good-bye by Angela Aki. I haven't heard it yet ;( If anyone has it please send it to me <3 Here's her official site. Al tells me she's half Japanese and half Italian-American which means her english should be pretty good. She sang the english version at a Square-Enix music event in July.

I was kinda disappointed when Koda Kumi didn't sing the english versions of her songs for the North American and European releases of FFX ;( I guess her english isn't good enough.

REIRA starring YUNA ITO - ENDLESS STORY


Yuna Ito is a new Sony artist. She plays Reira, the lead singer of Trapnest and Nana's rival in the Nana movie. She was born in Hawaii. There's already a fansite XD It's got her personal information and lyrics and stuff <3 The shots of her singing on stage makes her look a bit like one of the Pink Ladies - i think it's the fringe (bangs) - it makes her look like that one who's face looks too tight XD

It's a really beautiful rock-ish ballad. I like it more than Mika Nakashima's Glamourous Sky. The c/w song Journey is very good too. The single comes out on Wednesday.

Classic Musume Medley


The opera singers sing the same medley of songs that the H!P girls sang earlier but in opera style! Mr Moonlight is almost unrecognisable ;(

I like it. I've never been a fan of Happy Summer Wedding or Koi no Dance Site but the opera versions are strangely good.

Baby I miss you when I think of you

I've been having a bit of trouble with my webspace ;0

apparently more people download from me than I thought and my bandwidth went over budget ;-; i got an invoice the other day for ￡25 meaning I'm 5gb of traffic over my 20gb monthly allowance..

but fortunately Suika has very kindly offered me some of her webspace for videos - maybe her webhost can determine where all the downloaders come from because my webhost gives me crappy stats ;(

if the statistics are correct, there were over 800 downloads last month... but only 5 comments <_< i wouldn't mind some more feedback - like requests or opinions about the songs.. anything really! i don't mind if it's in japanese or russian - i can always babelfish it :D i'm just uploading videos randomly - some new, some old - so if anyone has anything specific in mind then feel free to ask and I'll do my best to fulfill it :)

They all look like they're going to a funeral - apart from Yuko who looks really nice and elegant. Tsunku is acting like a crazy man conducting the orchestra. They sing a medley of Love Machine, Happy Summer Wedding, Mr Moonlight, Koi no Dance Site and Renai Revolution 21.

It's the theme song to the drama Jyoou no Kyoushitsu. I haven't watched it and I don't know what it's about - but it's got Hara Sachie in it and I liked her in the live action You're Under Arrest. I might watch it if somebody convinces me to.. I mean.. when I watch a new drama that I like it's like I have to make a reference to it in all my posts until everybody else is watching it too ^o^ I wish others were as passionate about dramas LOL

er.. the song is ok. I like EXILE but I still don't know their names. I call them the skinny one and the strangely buff one (and the 4 dead-weights). I think the skinny one had a solo song but I can't find the pv for it - I might have deleted it because I didn't like it and I can't even remember what it sounded like =/

ZYX - IkuZYX! FLY HIGH (Dance Version)

I think ZYX was another brainchild of Mari's - but unlike MiniMoni, lightning didn't strike twice and it was a total failure. They only had 2 singles. This was the first one - and what they're wearing is just SO WRONG! It's horrible. Their second song had a cleaned up, cute image which was much better. What was Mari thinking? Was she thinking of graduating from Morning Musume to lead a bunch of even younger kids around? Half of them are in Berryz now. I hope C-ute get a single.

Ayumi Hamasaki - HEAVEN

I like this song a lot. Sabaku said everything I wanted to say about it at the bbs. It's a one-shot video. She's surrounded by gaijin ghosts that are boarding the train to heaven. It's a really nice song.

It's the theme song for the a new ninja movie starring Yukie Nakama called Shinobi - it's based on the manga and anime called Basilisk i think. From what I remember of the anime, it's about two rival ninja villages that are on the verge of killing each other but there's been an unsteady truce for years. It looks like there might finally be peace when two of them are to be married. But then a warlord wanted to choose a successor between his two sons and he has the two clans fight each other to the death to decide which son is to succeed him. Ten ninjas from each clan are chosen to kill each other and that includes the two lovebirds. It's pretty tragic ;-;

All the ninjas have superhuman abilities. I think Yukie's character has disrupting eyes that stop other ninja's abilities - you can see them in the trailer.

I loved Yukie in Gokusen and the Trick dramas (yeah, I've watched all 3 series and the movies ^o^ ) She looks really pretty in the trailers.

I wonder if they used a train in the music video because trains are in right now? You know.. because of Densha Otoko? XD The Basilisk anime was done by GONZO XD I can link it all back to Densha Otoko!! XD
