この曲はVSOPの印象が強いですね。78年の田園コロシアムでしたか、あの時はすごい雨の中でした。
大西順子、ロンカーター、ルイスナッシュ・・・。この組み合わせがあったんですね。

ジョージベンソンはギターも一流だけど、歌手としても超一流。
この才能はどこからくるのだろうか。
日本の歌謡曲の世界では、歌手はおおむね役者になるケースが多いが、ベンソンが役者になったとは聞かない。やはり本業ギタリストなのかもしれない。ベンソンの歌を聴いていると、ウェスが歌ったらどうだったのだろうか？といつも思うのだが・・・。

ダラーブランドのウェディングが無性に聴きたくなることが、年に数回あります。
この曲を初めて聴いたのはたしか25-6年前。友人の結婚式の二次会でピアノを弾いてくれた青木弘武さんのソロピアノが最初でした。いい曲です！

あけましておめでとうございます。
年明けは5時に起きて、近所の昭和の森まで初日の出を拝んでまいりました。
その映像を、アーマッドジャマルのブルースに乗せてみました。
日が昇る前から徐々に明るくなりはじめて、日が昇るといっきに明るくなる太陽の存在なしには地球は成立しないことを改めて実感しました。
aliveだからliveが聴ける、liveができることに感謝しつつ、スタートしたいと思います。
