私の大好きな古いブルースに、
マネー・アンド・シガレッツという楽曲がある。
名も知れない黒人のブルースシンガーの曲だが、
私はこれを聴くと、いつも在米時代を思い出す。
よくクラブなどに行っては、
ブルースを聴いて楽しんでいたものだ。
ふとそれを思い出し、
まるでブルースが聞こえてくるような
写真を撮りたくなった。

There is an old blues song
named money and cigarettes.
I like that blues very much.
That was unknown blues singer's song.
And when I listen that blues,
I remember I was in America.
I often went music club,
and enjoy listening old blues song.
I remembered about that.
And I wanted to take picture
which sounds old blues.
So I made this photograph.

なにやら見慣れたタッチの龍の彫像を見つけた。
先日、粘土製の狛犬を紹介させていただいたが、
同じタッチである。
独特のデザインセンスも似ている。
同じ彫刻家の作になるものであろう。
誰が作ったかは定かではないが、
私はこのセンスが好きだ。

I introduced about komainu statue last day,
this dragon statue has same touch.
And same design sense.
I guess same statue maker made this statue.
I don't know who made this statue.
Anyway I like this statue touch and sense.

手洗い水とひしゃく

さて、とある場所で
馬頭観音像の撮影をした帰りに、
手を洗う場所にひしゃくが置いてあるのを見かけた。
今風の水道ではなく、
昔ながらの石でできた鉢に
ひしゃくがおいてあるのを見て、
なにやら風流を感じてしまった。
もしも、これが水道の水が流してあったら、
確かに合理的ではあるが、風情を損なう気がする。

ベストな出来の蓮の写真

この数週間、毎朝のように蓮の花の写真を撮ってきた。
なかなかこれは・・というものは撮れなくて、
毎日通った。結局、蕾の位置を覚えておいて、
それが咲く頃に狙って行って撮ったものだ。
咲いて間もなくの花はさすがに美しく、
幸い虫もついていなかったので、
美しい写真が撮れたと満足した。

In these some weeks,
I have been taking lotus flower pictures every morning.
But, it was hard to get good picture
cause of there was not good situation lotus flowers.
So I went every morning and check flowers.
Finally, I remember the position of buds
and wait the buds start blooming.
It was very beautiful soon after blooming flower.
And I was lucky
because there was no insects on the flower.
Finally I could take best shot.

白鷺

白鷺

水田に稲が青々と茂った中に、
時々、真っ白な鳥が動くのが見える。白鷺だ。
冬の草のない時期に、白鷺を撮影したことはあるが、
夏の時期、白鷺は水田の稲の陰に隠れて、
なかなか発見できない。
警戒心の強い鳥なので、接近すると
すぐに逃げてしまう。
ところが不思議なもので、こちらが車の中にいると、
まったく逃げようとしないのだ。
彼らは、車はただ通り過ぎるだけで
自分たちに害を成すものではないと理解しているようだ。
そこで、超望遠レンズを持ち出して、
車の窓枠にレンズを持たせるようにして
撮影を試みた。
750mmクラスの超望遠レンズは
自分の心臓の鼓動だけでぶれてしまうので、
車のエンジンを停止し、静かに狙って撮影した。
グリーンの中に、雪のように白い鳥が
しっかりと写っていたときは、
さすがにうれしかった。

In the middle of green rice field, I saw white birds move.
I thought that was snowy egrets.
In winter season, while there were no grass,
I tried to take picture before.
In this season, it is hard to find out because
they are hiding under green rice.
So it was too hard to find out them.
White snowy egrets have strong guard mind.
So when I close to them, they fly away soon.
But while I am in the car, they will not try escape
because they know cars are just passing by and no bad for them.
So I bring out ultra tele scorp lens and tried to take picture.
When I could get success getting some snowy egrets pics.
It was beautiful view pure white bird in the green field.

金属製の灯篭

金属製の灯篭

よく神社で、このような灯篭を見かける。
古来、日本人はガラスというものを使わなかった。
そのため、このような金属と紙を利用した灯篭が
明かりとして使われてきた。
もちろん、現在のこれは、紙の代わりに
白いプラスティックが使われているが、
デザインは非常に優雅である。

I often see this kinds of lantern in the shrine.
In ancient period,
Japanese didn't use glass for lantern.
So in from ancient period,
paper and iron, or stone had used as lantern.
Off course, nowdays, instead of paper,
white plastic is used as material.
Anyway it has very good design.

主題をきっちり決めて、
作りこんだイメージ写真を撮影してみたくなった。
今度のテーマは音楽にしようと思った。
そこで、昔、ゲーム音楽などを作っていたときに
書きかけにしてあった楽譜を引っ張り出して、
ライティングをセットした。
少々暖かな感じがするよう、タングステンライトを使った。、
少々おしゃれなデザインのペンを置いて、
いかにも作曲家・・・・という雰囲気を演出してみた。
こういう場合、実際よりも少々オーバーな表現のほうが、
意図するところが見る人に伝わる気がする。

I wanted to take theme picture with something theme.
And I wanted to make with made up detail photograh with my will.
I decided the theme is music.
So I bring out score from music paper box
which I wrote while I was working game music composer.
And set lighting. I set tungsten light because I wanted warm light.
And set little bit modern design pen.
And I tried to show the mood of composer mood.
In this case,
I made little bit emphasis mood
for easy understanding my will
for the persons who look this picture.
I hope readers can understand my will.

散歩の途中、彼岸花を見つけた。
もうそんな季節かなと思ったが、
このはな、白いのだ。
白い彼岸花は、
恥ずかしながら始めて見るので、
私にとっては珍しい花なので、
たくさん写真を撮影した。

I found white amaryllis on the way taking a walk.
I thought it is the season of amaryllis.
But the color made me surprised.
This amaryllis were white color.
Red amaryllis are not rare in japan.
In autumn season we can see here there everywhere.
But white one was rare so I took many pics.

とある神社の中に、小さな人形が置かれてあった。
その人形がどのような意味を持つのか
私は知らない。
しかし、その人形のなんともいえない、
良い笑顔は、私にシャッターをたくさん切らせた。

There was a little doll in a small shrine.
I didn't know what mean the small doll has.
But the doll has very very cute and good smile face.
So the doll let me take many many pictures.

遅い季節のひまわり

遅い季節のひまわり

すでに9月も中盤である。
夜は涼しくなり、虫の声も美しく聞こえる。
そんな中、ひまわりが咲いているところを見かけた。
蕾もあるところを見ると、
まだまだ楽しめそうだ。
しかし、最近、こういった
小さなひまわりをよく見かけるのはなぜだろう？
大きなひまわりは珍しい存在になってしまったのだろうか？
あるいは、ただ単に、私が知らないだけなのかもしれない。

It is middle of September.
It is cool down in night time's weather
and we can listen the voice of autumn insects.
But I found delayed sunflowers this morning.
There were many buds
so I guess I can enjoy looking this sunflower for a while days.
I feel in these years,
I often see those kinds of small sunflowers.
I don't know the reason.
Does It became rare about big sunflower?
Or, maybe just I don't know where is big sunflowers.

Clay Komainu Statue

普通、狛犬というのものは、
石材でできているものが多い。
とある神社で見つけた狛犬は
粘土でできていた。
そのため、粘土素材独特の
赤味を帯びた色をしていて、
遠目に見たときは
？と思ったものだ。
夏のある日、撮影を試みた。
粘土の赤色と、コケの緑色、
背景のピントをぼかした木々の
緑の組み合わせが、
なんとも言えず味わいがあった。

In normal way, komainu statue made from stone material.
I found clay komainu statue in a shrine.
It had the color of cray something red color
so when I found it. I thought what is that?
One summer day,
I tried to take the komainu statue.
Color combination was beautiful for my eyes,
clay red, mossy green,
and background out focus green.
It had good mood for me.
And it was good taste for my eyes.

ビー球

ビー球

子供のころ、ビー球を明かりにすかして、
色を見るのが好きだった。
ガラスの中に小さな気泡があり、
小さな気泡や、ガラスを通して見る光の様子が、
子供心にものすごくきれいだった記憶がある。
そのためだろうか、写真をはじめて長年になるが、
ビー球を透過光で撮影することに、
いま、どっぷりはまっている。
しかし、美しいものは美しいのだ。

When I was child,
I like color of color glass ball through light.
There were little bubble in the glass ball.
And the view of color and small bubble
through light gave me strong impression.
After grown up I forget it.
But after start to taking picture
of color glass ball through light,
I am favor in to take their color.
Beautiful is beautiful.

スタジオで、ライティングを施して撮影するとき、
よく、私は映画を撮影するようなつもりで撮影をする。
コンセプトを決め、一枚の動かない写真から、
見る人がいろいろな想像ができるように作ってみた。
我が家に一体の人形があった。
日本の読者の皆様には説明の必要はないと思うが、
源義経の幼年時代の人形だ。
作者は不明。しかし、名のある人形師が作ったらしく、
非常に味わいのある、よい表情をしている。
背景にタイシルクと秋のもみじなどの葉をあしらい、
秋の日に、義経が笛を楽しんでいるようなイメージを、
美しく、かつ、上品に撮れたらいいなあと思って
この作品を作った。

When I take picture in the studio
with flash light system.
I often take same as taking movie film.
I decided theme.
And I try to make picture
witch can imagine many situation
from non-move still picture.
 There is a doll in my house.
I think no need explain to Japanese readers.
Young age Yoshitsune Minamotono doll.
He was one of famous samurai in ancient period of Japanese history
 I don't know who made this doll.
But doll seems to be made good skill doll maker.
It has good face with good mood and noble mood.
I made thai-silk and autumn leaves back ground
and I made autumn feeling.
And I wanted to take beautiful and noble picture.

どうにも気になる被写体というものはあるようで、
この彫像も、何度となく撮影している。
フィルムを換えたり、レンズを換えたり、
あの手この手で撮影を試みている。
一見子供の顔に見える兵士像が、
一心に平和を訴えている様子が、
私をして、何度もこの彫像を撮影させている。
特に夏のこの時期、
太陽光がまるでスポットライトを当てたかの様に、
この彫像を照らし出す。
強い影が出るが、またそれはそれで、
この彫像を作った作者の強い意志が現れている気がしてならない。

This statue makes me mind about this statue anytime.
So I take this statue again and again.
Change film, color negative film, color positive film,
monochrome film, and digital.
And this statue let me change many kinds of lens
zeis wide, normal, and Nikon, wide normal.
And I am trying to take picture with many ways.
 This soldier has childish face,
and this childish pure face soldier appeal something
from all his view.
It let me take this statue again and again.
 Especially in this season.
Sunlight show this statue like spotlight.
And strong spotlight makes strong shadow.
But even from shadow of sunlight
I can feel something strong will who made this statue.

群集のような稲穂

台風の吹き返しの風がものすごく強い。
稲穂が、ざわざわと揺れていた。
その中で、俺は違うぞ！
と言いたげに突っ立っている稲穂があったりして・・・・。
まるで、人間が大勢いて、
世の中の風に揉まれているようだった。
その中で、流されまいとがんばる人もいる。
人間の群集の縮図を見るような気がした。
