sunny days in spring

I am now enjoying sunny days in spring.

The spring flowers around my apartment house
are still in full bloom and
they look quite happy.

I feel as if they were speaking to me so.

The fallen petals of cherry blossoms
make the road pink.

The fallen pink petals are
so beautiful, thick and tough.

I feel happy while walking on the pink road.

Along the street I see many colorful flowers.
Whenever I see them, I can’t help speaking
to them in my mind.

They are all so cute!

I’m utterly fascinated with them.

Oh, when was it?
Alas 76 years have passed!
Many, many years ago….

On April 4, 1949-----
It was a day of the entrance ceremony
of my elementary school.

My father took me to the ceremony.
I was walking with my father.
I was a very little girl
and so my father was clasping my hand.

It was a very fine day.
I still remember the beautiful blue sky.
I still remember those beautiful pink cherry blossoms.

I’ve never forgotten that street lined with cherry trees.
Whenever I go hometown and walk under the cherry trees,

I still remember the day
when I walked
with my dear FATHER.

since the New Year started.
How quickly time flies!

Mine is to study and enjoy English every day.

----around me.

I’ve been enjoying beautiful autumn days
since last Saturday----blue skies, white clouds,
and mild autumn sunlight.

There is a long, long line of ginkgo trees---
（イチョウ並木） in front of my apartment.

I’ve enjoyed the coloring of the leaves in autumn.
They are now golden, so beautiful!

Countless autumn leaves flutter to the ground
when the wind blows.

My access road is yellow with the fallen leaves
of the ginkgo.

How beautiful!
But very slippery!

I must be very careful
not to fall down.

What a fine clear autumn day!

The sky is so blue and ---beautiful.

It’s not cold nor hot.
Really comfortable weather.

Today I attended Friday English Class at Kominkan.

First the teacher told us to report our latest news in English.

It took almost two hours for all members to finish the report.

So I was very sorry we had little time to study English.

I wonder if there are other ways to enjoy English better
in this class.

By the way,
our teacher surprised us
to appear wearing
no-sleeved one-piece dress!
