my decent movie day~!

i have been wanting to watch this movie FOR AGES~!!! quite amazing actually since it was a WAR movie and i usually dont like to watch this genre (all the male bonding and gore)

BUT THIS MOVIE WAS DIFFERENT!

i saw the super famous picture before (and i think i posted it on one of my many previous blogs) and i LOVE AMERICAN HISTORY~~and this movie shows the power of symbols and how the picture was used to psycho the american ppl to support the war. the movie tried to tell a historically based narrative on the lives of the 6 men who hoisted the flag (how much of it is true- i have no idea) during WW2 in iwo jima. the bombing, blood and the gore was spectacular (eww) as well

and the best part was- charissa and i actually realised the super cute guy in the sailor uniform is RYAN PHILLIPPE! WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH- yes, i didnt know how we missed it in the first place (which goes to prove that i was watching the show for good EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES and not bimbo reasons! hahahah)

and we had a funny incident with the LIDO ticket ah pek! haha when he took our tickets he looked at us, gave us a cheeky smile and asked "you are above 16 right?" i was @@ (learnt from keesh who learnt from clarissa) and charissa was stunned- HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHA, i felt super happy anyways~! LIDO ah pek sooooo and trying to be funny! hahahaha

anyways, indonesia had THREE major earthquakes today ALONE. wah, if i didnt surrender, i will be still hearing the batam-tsunami lecture

things really cant get any worse.

i had a super big problem in my hands
1) i am in the convention commitee
2) of all things i am in charge of collecting money (hello? i guess my idiocy in math is not as well-known as i thought)
3) the convention is in batam at the end of the year
4) the rainy season made my mother naggggggggggg unceasingly (everytime it rains- like every DAY!) that rainy season+ batam+ end of the year= tsunami
5) i have to explain when i have to go when charmaine, caylynn and charlotte are all NOT GOING
6) early this morning, indonesia had an earthquake (and as usual we felt the tremors) and i was woken up at 6am and given a batam-tsunami-earthquake lecture (and this was just after my prayers for guidance)

URGH. i give up. i am not going to batam

please let me have enough bid points

woohoo~! i actually passed my placement test now i have to wait and see if they actually have vacancies for me and hopefully i wont be bankrupt after the cold war module

wonderful man~ my placement test results (supposed to be out 5hours ago) are still NOT THERE!!!

geez. now i cant plan my timetable properly!!! urgh. and all the science modules clash with my history modules!!! i was thinking of taking a bio mod called "animal behaviour" - then i noticed it was right b4 my history class and i HATE to rush from sci to arts then got FOUR hours of LAB.

anyways! i went to cut my hair (NOT SHORT lah- of course) the first thing the guy said was "wah! your hair is so out of shape! when was the last time u cut yr hair?!"

MAY! i cut my hair in MAY!! urgh

now that i might not take japanese next sem, i am playing with the idea of taking french 6 (HEY! got no exams or ML!) then i saw the ominous words "PLACEMENT TEST" if LAF 4201 was not taken immediately before i laid off french for 1 whole year! oh dear. placement test is BAD NEWS (in fact french 6 itself is bad news to me)

maybe i should go take german one or something. hmmm.

so strange that barely 4 hours after i woke up i feel so tired. (must be the clarissa syndrome) sigh. i actually have a lot to write but hai. i am depressed abt something lately (no its not only the stupid placement test). just went blog surfing. i wish i was as energetic as keshia lai hahaha

and i need to go print my photos!! urgh! why does it have to rain

had a really lousy and demoralising morning at school with the horrble (which i know i am going to fail) japanese placement test

which made me miss our movie at vivo (sorry charissa~~~!) boo

and YES. i know its escapism. but it is FUN.
