strangely

my throat is acting up now. hmm the flu is almost gone- but my voice is still weird sounding (yes suz- no sexy voice for the time being~ awww)

so i went to whine to my mom and she went on and on abt how my face became smaller (felt a little gleeful- but WHY FACE?! WHY NOT THIGHS? WHY NOT WAIST? :S) hai. so suai. she is going on abt how there is probably something wrong with me (like seriously wrong kind) instead of celebrating my supposed weight loss

sick

yes- i have the flu TOO. nose is running, throat feels raw, lungs itchy, blah blah- u get my point.

so WHY ON EARTH AM I IN SCHOOL AT 8-plus AM?! my mother CLAIMED that i told her to wake me up early in the morning (i seriously dont remember a thing- was prob groggy- in fact am still groggy now)

urgh. and my class starts at 12 lor. sian.

lousy days

fell yesterday. was raining. i was walking to biz and the next thing i knew i was on my butt and my birks flew.

it WOULD NOT be embarrassing if there were NO ONE around. SADLY there was. SIGH. i was wearing a lighter coloured pants so the wet patch was pretty obvious. and i HAD to trod through the SUPER CROWDED biz canteen (it was lunchtime) to my lecture theatre.

oh yes. before that, on the way to school, i switched on my ipod and then to my aghast, MY SONGS WERE ALL GONE (i prob did something stupid the night b4) that really made me feel crappy liao. THEN i had to fall with an audience....

today. i repacked my stuff in the morning and FORGOT to bring my japanese assignment. WONDERFUL. must hand in to the tutor who already dislikes me. sigh, how many points will be deducted this time..

BUT!! i am SO SUPER HAPPY! COZ HISTORY DEPT IS GOING TO GET A KOREAN PROF THIS APRIL!!! FINALLY I FOUND MY THESIS SUP!!! YEY!

lazy-ness

i have quite a lot of stuff to blog about actually. primary sports day and such. but i am soooo lazy. am supposed to be holed up in the library doing my essay. but still so lazzzzy. nothing much is done. and even after reading all my readings (i have A LOT for this essay) i am still quite blur what is where. hai.

and i am getting distracted by 'nuances'. i guess i am pretty bad at discerning them due to my thick-headedness. (well, i used to be bad at detecting them, so i guess i have at least improved)

wah! i met my old classmate

i met my old ACJ first 3 months classmate at the central library today! hahahha- i was peering into the theatrette when someone shouted my name. wah - took me like 10 secs to remember his name! hahaha. oh my goodness, it has been 5 years lah! cant believe it has been so long since JC1 man.

i always wondered what if i stayed in ACJ, how would i turn out and how colorful (VJ is pretty dull- other than SLIM- my scary history teacher who made us write full length essays almost every week with footnoting for 2 freaking years) my JC life would have been. (BOO especially all the AC-eyecandy-boys) and I GOT SO MANY SC FRIENDS at ACJ!

well well, "what ifs" are always so depressing. at least i got away from the hellish AC P.E. which WOULD HAVE killed me off. and i did get to escape SEA history. and i got to know (and less wild) friends at VJ.

on monday- joyce and i were walking thru the co-op when i saw this guy that looked very familiar and b4 i could recall anything he waved to me- so i naturally i waved back with a "hey! hello!" smile. no time to talk. and after a safe distance, i turned to joyce and said, " i dont know that guy!"

okay lah. i prob KNEW him in one of my past 5 semesters. BUT the thing is! i STILL CANT RECALL WHO HE IS! hmm, am i
1) bad with faces (i thought he looked familiar though- so maybe i am bad with names. but I dont even remember when and where i knew him!)
2) senile (HIGH POSSIBILITY)
3) just plain forgetful (as above- 3 numbers just look better :P)

ok. very random post. but i have been trying to recall for 2 days. STILL NOTHING. hahahaa. i think i am just looking for distractions.

watching chil!!! (its the 80 eps k-drama- which i thought was a lot better than the overhyped daejanggeum)

and WAH! now they have chil on youtube!! (but imagine watching 80 episodes where 1 eps is cut into like 8 parts...) - search under "seven princesses"

its soooooo nice! (thanks suz baby for burning the eps for me)

and hai. i am still thinking of what to do during the summer

i want to go traveling but NO MONEY!!! such a pity since i end exams by april!!!

update on my S/U woes

during the one week break, i was agonising where to use my S/U (it means that if u declare pass/fail option on this mod outside yr faculty, u just have to get a C+ to pass, and u will get the credits without the depressing pull to yr CAP/ GPA) we are given 3 over our whole uni course, and due to my ridiculous squandering in year 1 and 2- i have like one left now for the pretty horrid 2 breadths this sem. i am taking legal environment of business (biz law) and forensic science. i thought they would be interesting- but -
1) i dont get biz law and the way they argue- VERY DIFFERENT from history (keesh would understand :S)
2) i kept skipping forensics - it is quite interesting, other than this female lecturer who is a DPP (deputy public prosecuter) AND she cant PRONOUNCE her english properly (plus she speaks super slow like we are idiots) AND she talk so much but say so little and yeah. i cant stand her. so everytime i see that she is lecturing (we have some guest lectures from like the police, pathologist ppl, handwriting analysis ppl- those i will go), i will self-declare my friday night a holiday (YEAH- its on friday nights from 7-10 PM)

hmm- i actually intended to S/U biz, but then i thought-HEY! i go for EVERY biz lecture, but i have missed a number of FS lectures! doesnt make sense!
but then i refuse to S/U FS because the final exam is all MCQ! (for u spoilt american students- we hardly have MCQ here)

yes. so dilemma-ish right? URGH

I didnt SU any. HA. i wonder if i am stupid or brave or bravely stupid or stupidly brave.

Latest update- i got B+ for my FS mid term- so i guess i will tide through! muahaha

i went to the ZOO!

oh my goodness!! the zoo is SOOO FUN! (minus all the smelly-ness and the scorching sun- well better sun than rain anyways) i love going to the zoo!! thank u joyce for going with me! hahaha

they have this special CNY theme going on now- like happy hogs show for the year of the pig! and there are like manicured hedges in the shape of pigs at the entrances!


we went for two animal shows! the first one was cool- i sealions! soooo cute!! (and fat), the happy hogs one was, using joyce's phrase but the pig was sooo cute (reminded me of BABE)


most of the animals were pretty sluggish- the polar bear was sleeping, the lions and cheetah were lying around, haha- the white tiger was prowling (seriously very angsty kind of prowl) thru and fro. and yeah! there were kangaroos!! (everytime i see them i think of rene-hahaha MAMEEAHOO!)


they really let the monkeys run loose at the treetop area, then this black monkey happily jumped off the tree and ran across the platform, so super near me and joyce- we were both so freaked out! then those angmoh ppl laughed at us! hahaha
and i TOUCHED A donkey! haha (u know i never touch any animals unless i am forced to defend myself- remember that stupid husky u set loose on me clarissa chen?!!)


hahaha- joyce has a lion/tiger fetish!!


there was this really nice butterfly enclosure and haha- i think joyce and i wore clothes that were too colourful so they ATTACKED US!! so scary! hahaha
and the zebras are really funny when they swish their tails together! hahahaha


remember this place clarissa?!! the lotus place where i almost fell in?? haha- joyce almost fell in today! hahaha


by 2pm we were dead tired. haha - and we covered the whole zoo except for some parts in the middle!! haha


and our phototaking dont end even when we came out of the zoo! hahaha
