MOMOLAND makes a surprise visit to a high school in Fukuoka for their "We'll visit your school!" project!

The nine-member Korean K-pop group MOMOLAND (pronounced Momoland) carried out their "We'll visit your school!" project and visited Fukuoka University Wakaba High School.

Despite only a week's notice on MOMOLAND's website, there were over 200 applications from all over the country, and Wakaba High School was selected.

The application was submitted by a teacher, who said that Wakaba High School, which will become a co-ed school next year, would hold its "last school festival of the Heisei era" in addition to the "last school festival of a girls' school" starting tomorrow, and that they wanted to create memories by dancing collaboratively with MOMOLAND and the street dance club STREET DANCE WAKABA GLEE, and the members agreed. This project was carried out.

The surprise visit was kept top secret, with only the four teachers knowing about it until the morning of the day.

The street dance club students were told, "We're going to apply for a YouTube 'dance cover' so make sure you remember MOMOLAND's 'BAAM'." The students practiced hard and arrived on the day. Just before the surprise, the club members were gathered together, and when the advisor announced, "It's not a 'dance cover', but the members of MOMOLAND are coming to school," about 40 club members screamed, hugged each other with joy, and burst into tears, erupting with joy.

The other students were gathered in the gymnasium for instructions about the school festival starting tomorrow, and just when you thought the instructions would start, the vice principal said, "We have a present for you guys who always work hard," and then the intro to "BBoom BBoom -Japanese ver.-" played, the stage curtain rose, and the members of "MOMOLAND" appeared. The members appeared amid loud cheers, and performed the song with smiles on their faces.

After the members greeted each other, the screen lowered and leader Hyebin said, "As a thank you for inviting us to your school, we have something to show you," and a clip from the music video for their second single "BAAM -Japanese ver.-," due for release on November 7, was shown earlier than anywhere else.

They ended with "BAAM," but halfway through, the third-year students from the street dance club came on stage, and the first- and second-year students performed a collaborative dance with the members below the stage.

The surprise visit ended with a dance performance that was so perfectly coordinated with the members that it was hard to believe it was a surprise announcement on the day, including the "shuffle dance," which is the highlight of the "BAAM" dance.

★ "We'll visit your school!"

This project brings back fond memories.

Apink's surprise visit to Okayama Gakugeikan was three years ago. At the time, it was a girl with a dream who applied and made it come true.

It seems that the person who applied this time was a teacher.

There were 200 applications.

Despite the high competition, Fukuoka University Wakaba High School was the one that managed to invite MOMOLAND.

★ The members expressed their gratitude, saying, "It was our first time in Fukuoka, and we suddenly found ourselves going to school, so we wanted to know what kind of school our Japanese fans go to, so we were really happy. At first, we were worried whether they would know us, but they welcomed us warmly, and we were really moved when they perfectly memorized the dance to "BAAM," which hasn't been released in Japan yet. At the end, we all did the "BAAM" pose, and it was a really unforgettable day."

It seems that MOMOLAND performed "BAAM" on this day.

With the release of "BAAM -Japanese ver.-" coming up on November 7th, it was probably a powerful stage.

MOMOLAND's "BBoom BBoom," released earlier this year, became a hit not only in Korea but also overseas, and they became an instant hit.

In the Philippines, "BBoom BBoom" and their new song "BAAM" are ranked 1st and 2nd in the Top 30 of the "Music Weekly" chart.

They have already proven that they are girls with a strong charm.

Since hearing "BBoom BBoom," I have been following MOMOLAND's activities on YouTube.

Their stage performances are energetic and bright.

They are also approachable.

They have an abundance of passion and cheerfulness.

I felt this when I saw their performance of KARA's "Mister."

These girls may not be as powerful as KARA, but they may have the power of T-ARA.

I feel that their performance of "BAAM" is even more suited to them than "BBoom BBoom."

Based on the members' crazy energetic characters, I hope they will continue on the same path after "BAAM" with music of a similar concept.
