Today you wrote about your dream job. Anything is OK! Spy, politician, doctor, farmer, sommelier, anything!

1) choose a job
2) make a list of good points about the job (about 10)
EX: high salary, travel, etc.
3) make a list of the bad points about the job (about 5)
EX: dangerous, long hours, etc.
4) make a list of the skills you will need (about 7)
EX: good at languages, critical thinking, decision making, calm, patient, etc.
5) then write about your dream job like this. Important grammar: Would, Should.

Hello everybody

Today we did three things:

1) gyuto-e for 30 minutes. This week's goal is: Week6 11/5-11/11 L 600 / G 600 / R&V 30. If you have not done this you need to use gyuto-e in your free time.

TOEIC announcement Don't forget to turn in(申し込みを出す) your TOEIC application by the deadline (締切), November 22nd. The TOEIC test is on Saturday, December 1st at 9:00AM in room 06106.

2) gyuto-e quiz. 英語には数える名詞が形容詞のように使って、単数の形を使う。For example, toothbrush (NOT teethbrush), car park (NOT cars park), etc. 数える名詞、数えない名詞は暗記すべきだ。an other (他の) and another (もう一つ、など)are different. 気を付けってください。staff (グループ), a staff member (一人の社員)を覚えておいてね。

3) Continued "My Usual Day" blog. This website is useful for making tables in your blog. Click on the picture to see an example of how to write your blog.

Use "first", "next", "then", etc. between your sentences. Use "always", "usually", etc. BEFORE the verb. Use "everyday", "once a week", "on Tuesday", etc. at the end of the sentence.

That's all for today. Next week we will finish this bog, record it, then read and comment on students' blogs.

Hello everybody

Today we did three things:
1) gyuto-e for 30 minutes.
You should have finished Listening 400 / Grammar 400 / Reading & Vocabulary 20. Only one student, Hitomi, has done enough. Good job Hitomi. Everybody else, come on! Work harder!

2) We did the gyuto-e quiz. Everybody did very well. Great! Next week there will be another one.

3) We started "My Usual Day" blog.
Make a list like in the picture. Write everything you do from "wake up" to "go to bed". In the second box, how often do you do it? Use "always", "usually", "sometimes", etc. or "everyday", "three times a week", etc.

Next week we will continue to write this blog and have a gyuto-e quiz.

If you haven't finished blog one and two, you must do them in your own free time.

Today, you should have finished your second blog. Next week, we will start a new blog and record the first two blogs. Also, there will be a gyuto-e quiz.

WARNING: Don't be late to class. Class starts at 9:00. Try to come early to start the computer.


How to record your blog.
1) Go to "すべてのプログラム", "アクセサリ", "エンターテイメント", open "サウンドレコーダ"

2) Click on the circle to record. If your recording is longer than one minute, you will have to click the circle again.
3) Save the file
4) Post it on vocaroo.com
5) Save the link and post it on your blog.

Today we did gyuto-e for the first 30 minutes then we started our second blog about hometowns.

Remember:
1) Don't use your family name in your blogs. (ブログには名字を使いないでください。)
2) Don't forget to start with a list in MSword.
3) Check your blog's comments.
4) Check the Teacher's blog for advice.
5) You can post a blog anytime you want!
6) You can post a blog about anything you want, too!

Hello Everybody!

So far in the first two classes we have 1) made a blog account, 2) written a list of 10 things about yourselves, 3) written a paragraph from that list 4) posted the list AND the paragraph on your blog 5) added pictures, videos and e-moji to your blogs, and 6) started gyuto-e.

If you have NOT done all of these or if you are having trouble with any of these, please see the teacher.

Also, check your blogs for comments. I read all of them and give you advice.

Here are some more things to remember:
1) Write all of your blogs in MSWord. Then copy them to the blog. You can check spelling and grammar and count words easily in Word.
2) Make a list before you write a paragraph. This is to help you organize.
3) Don't write your family name in your blogs. This is for privacy reasons.
4) Check this blog for how to cut, paste, post a link, picture, etc. here.
5) You can work on your blog anytime; at home or after class is OK!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask the teacher anytime or email me.

Today's assignment is to write about your future in one year, five years and 10 years.

First: Choose three pictures that represent your image of your future in one, five and 10 years.

Example:
...in one year


...in five years


...in ten years


Second: Make a list of five things you will do/ are going to do/ will have done/ are going to have done in one year, five years, 10 years.

Example:
one year                    five years                    10 years
1. part-time job            get married                 have children
2. badminton club
3. get driver's license
4. finish graduation thesis              etc., etc.

Third: Choose one of the types of grammar for the items on your list.
1. I am going to ... (definitely doing 100%)
2. I will be ... (maybe-可能性ある)

For example: "In one year, I am going to be 20 years old. (100% だから "be going to を使う"). I will go to Tokyo to look for a job (可能性があるから,"will"を使う)

Fourth: Start to write your blog in MSWord. After each picture write about your future in one year, five years and 10 years.
