After you get the quest at the crystal, you'll want to head east, the gorge you are looking for is on the east mountain range not far from the main gates of Hammerfall (SP?) you'll know the place to start heading up, there will be kobalds in the gorge.
Well found the Crystal to the NE of Refuge Point. Send me to save the princess but don't recognize any of the areas mentioned. Will post more if I find it
