Music box

Taken at the automatic musical instruments museum. The place, which is around one hour drive from Tokyo, has nice and magnificent views. There's also a chapel and a restaurant inside. Oh... another thing is, I love the taste of the hot cocoa. Just too perfect for winter.

Tonogayato Gardens -03

2006-12-10 | sceneries

My friend and I visited Tonogayato Gardens last week. Luckily, we had a fine weather on this day. Fine weather... that would mean many people are visiting the park. But it was fun. Like many other visitors we enjoyed the autumnal leaves, the old house, wild grasses, etc. It is said that the garden was created for the Manchurian Railway Vice-president's residence during the Taisho period.

Tonogayato Gardens-02

This place will become full of hanging Japanese wisteria (lilac?) next spring. For the meantime, the old vines give a different taste of view.

Below photo looks like a burning forest, doesn't it?

Another tinted autumnal leaves

2006-12-08 | sceneries

Green in red... Hmmm... What a color contrast.

And here is a tunnel of Japanese bush clovers.
In autumn season, it's only a "skeleton frame",
but with the beautiful blue sky it looks fantastic, too.

Many people are enjoying the autumnal leaves in this garden. The garden has a cliff-like area where we also enjoyed walking up and down.
