How to Use Car Seat Covers With Side Air Bags
Many modern automobiles have side air bags. These air bags deploy from the sides of the passenger and driver's seats to add an extra level of collision protection. If you have air bags but you wish to change the upholstery by adding seat covers,you must have seat covers with holes for the air bags. Instructions
1. Clear the auto seats. Set out the seat covers on a work bench near the auto seat and align the cover so the back and seat are recognizable. Find the air bag holes on the sides of the seat covers Autel Autolink AL419.
2. Slide the seat covers over the back and seat of the auto benches or seats. Consult your user manual or look for stickers indicating the air bag deployment zone. Align the air-bag hole over the air bag deployment area.
3. Push all fabric on the seat cover away from the air bag deployment zone with a minimum of 1/2 inch on all sides maxidiag md802.
4. Check the seat cover every week to ensure that the covers have not slipped,covering the air bag deployment zones.
