After 40 years of playing the violin,I have so many discovery every day!
I keep changing something like crazy every week! I know that if you stop changing,that is the end or you are the top and you are like a god,but you are a human being,so you eventually become crazy..

４０年ヴァイオリン弾いててなお毎日たくさんの発見がある。毎週変わり続けてる。。もちろん変化してかないとおしまいだし、さもなければ、神のように絶頂で、でも人間なので結果気狂いになるだろう。


Even so,this is crazy.
I often shout "O.K.That is it!!I am done!! but I have never been done.
There is no perfection and even what you want and how you want change every year.
Your body also changes,as you get older sometimes the technique you used to have doesn't much.

それにしてもクレージーだ。
叫ぶときがよくある。オーケー！コレだ！もう決定！だがなにも決定などしないのだ。。
完璧などありえないし、それに何を望むかどうしたいかも毎年変わる。
身体的にも変わってくる、年を取ってくと昔と同じテクニックが合わないこともある。

Also I think this might be the greatest tragedy(half kidding),but you used to be misunderstanding what your teachers had told you(it is very difficult to teach physical feeling and musical emotion),or your teachers were mediocre (last one is most tragic..I think＠).

これはもっとも悲劇的かもしれないが（半分冗談。。）昔先生に習ったことを勘違いしてたり（身体感覚や音楽的感性や情緒などを教えるのは困難なのだ。）、先生が下手くそな場合だ（これは最も悲劇的だ。。＠）

Even you study with a greatest teachers and give most successful performances on the stage for a long time,something is always changing..it is your life!! you grow with the violin,and you get older with violin-
actually violin lives way longer than our lives."We are passing through the violin's life" some famous violinist said.

かりに、最も優れた先生達に習って、その後長くステージで華々しく演奏しても、、何かがいつも変化してるのだ。
それは自分の人生だから！ヴァイオリンとともに育ってヴァイオリンと一緒に年をとってゆくーところが、ヴァイオリンは私たちよりはるかに長く生きてゆく。ある著名なヴァイオリニストが「私たちは、ヴァイオリンの生を通り過ぎる」といった。

Anyway,life is a long trip and playing violin also a very very long trip with full of discovery ,you always discover new on you with the violin..
This is the instrument worth spending a life for!

I am gonna start crying so I stop here..@@

人生は長い旅だし、ヴァイオリンを弾くことも発見に満ちた、長い長い旅だ。いつも新しい自分をヴァイオリンとともに発見する。この楽器は、ひとつ人生を費やすにふさわしい！

泣きそうなのでここでやめる。＠＠

８１．1920年代のフリッツ・クライスラー Fritz Kreisler in 1920's

往年の偉大なヴァイオリニストーフリッツ・クライスラーの演奏を聴いている。春だ！今日は雨の福岡だけど。。
I am listening the recording of one of the greatest violinist,Fritz Kreisler. Spring has come! It's raining today in Fukuoka City though.

ベートーヴェン、モーツァルト、メンデルスゾーンのコンツェルトー1920年代の録音だ。生徒さんが貸してくれた貴重な録音だ。＾＾
これらのクラシカルなコンツェルトは今では多くの場合、とてもつまらなく完璧に、個性の入る余地のないくらいに演奏される。

例えばクライスラーのこのときは、ベートーヴェンからまだせいぜい100年ちょっとしか経ってない。いまでは２００年たってるので演奏スタイルも一般的に随分ちがうし、、作曲から長く経てばたつほど当時の演奏に近づけようとする傾向（楽器自体も改造されてきたりするので古典の演奏スタイルに忠実に・・というのも無理があるのだが。）があるだろう。楽譜の研究も進んで、オリジナルに近い楽譜も多く手に入り、実際、いろんな曲が、僕の子供の頃使ってた楽譜より相当演奏しやすくなってる。
それはありがたいのだが,,

Beethoven,Mozart and Mendelssohn's concertos-recorded in the 1920's.This is rare item my violin student rented me.^^

These classical concertos are often performed perfectly with almost no taste these days.

For example in this Kreisler recording,only 100 years had passed from Beethoven's time.Now 200 years has passed,so we have got different style of playing technically(better?I guess..)and musically.
As longer passed from the time composed,more we tend to play the piece close to the original(It's very difficult to play originally with our modern instruments anyway).We searched better text for closest to original.Actually lots of music are easier to play than which I used to use in my childhood.

That is great...
we get to the ideal interpretation and play technically perfect..we still have to make music!!
Idea is sophisticated,technically also sophisticated,but people are not hungry to make music..I am afraid.
We only wanna play correctly?No way..

楽譜の研究で、オリジナルが身近になって、さらに完璧なテクニックで、、それでも我々は音楽を造らないと！！
アイデアもテクニックも洗練されて、でも人々は音楽を創造することに飢えてない気がするのだ。正しいことをしたいだけなのか？まさか・・

それとは関係ないかもしれないけど、クライスラーの演奏に酔ってる今この時にも、携帯のお知らせメールが鳴り響く＠
