The era of Western countries that love "freedom and democracy" is approaching its end.
Yet Japan continues to overestimate Western nations and remains loyal to them.
At this rate, Japan might find itself in a situation where it can hardly avoid a suicide pact with the Western countries.
What is happening to recent America?
From America's perspective, Ukraine has historically been a country antagonistic to them as part of the Soviet Union.
Supporting Ukraine, which suddenly claims to be a nation of "freedom and democracy" regardless of national interests, seems incomprehensible.
And now, even if Israel is attacked by Hamas, advocating support for Israel by turning the Arab world into enemies seems contradictory.
After all, the U.S. condemns Russia, China, and India for doing things they themselves have done repeatedly, showcasing a double standard that what is permissible for America is intolerable for other countries.
Remember this: during Japan's bubble period, as it began to outpace the United States, it was relentlessly criticized and brought to ruin by America.
Observing the recent hysterical hegemony of America, one can sense the twilight of the United States.
Japanese people need to think carefully as well.
They must understand that the Western countries, represented by the beloved America, will sooner or later be unable to compete with China, India, and the Global South in economic competition.
A glance at the world map makes this clear.
Western countries, excluding America, Canada, and Australia, are a cluster of small countries crowded in a narrow region of Europe, with a small population.
They were once astonishing nations that climbed to power by colonizing Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
However, somehow, thanks ironically to the "freedom and democracy" they spread worldwide, they have reverted to their original small state.
Yet, unable to forget their past glories, they still fancy themselves as global leaders, despite becoming burdens to the world.
Even these Western countries are finally waking up to reality and abandoning the outdated ideology of distinguishing friend and foe based on "freedom and democracy," starting to prioritize "national interests."
In any case, Western countries will eventually have to cast away their pride to survive and bow to the emerging nations.
The world's momentum is now shifting to China, India, Indonesia, Brazil, Russia, Mexico, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and others.
Yet the Japanese government and media still overestimate and remain loyal to Western nations.
At this rate, Japan might find itself in a situation where it can hardly avoid a suicide pact with the Western countries.
Moreover, even among these Western countries, they are already falling apart.
In the end, only America, Canada, and perhaps the UK will remain.
What will Japan do?
