パウロ・フィリオ最新インタビュー／6月PRIDE復帰を望む

Sherdog.comのフォーラムに、恐らく投稿者による（？）パウロ・フィリオの最新インタビューが掲載されていました。多分、貴重な情報になると思うので要点のみ転載します。

■新しいマネージャー
これまでフィリオのマネージャーはマリオ・スペーヒーだった。彼は良いアスリートでありマネージャーだったが、なにぶん多忙な男。もうちょっと面倒を見られるJorge Guimaraes "Joinha"に換えた。
＜補足＞Joinhaは、新興チーム「The Black House」のマネージャーでもある。

■グラウンド技術のトレーニング
オズワウド・アウベス先生（赤帯）のもとで自らの柔術の技術を研ぎすませている。
私はブラジリアン・トップ・チームを離脱していないけど、オズワウド先生から学ぶことが多いんだ

■リングへの復帰
膝のケガは100％完治した。PRIDEには何度か「6月にリングに復帰したい」とリクエストを出している。
ウェイトについて、本当は93kg級で戦いたいが、チームメイトのアローナ、ホジェリオが既にいる階級に自分が行くことで、同一チームから１階級に３名も居ることになるし、複雑になって面倒だから83kgを続けるよ。

■UFC－PRIDEの統一ルール制定について
UFCとPRIDEが一緒になったことは非常によいことだ。
ルールに関して言えば、ルール統一がものごとを非常に成長させるはずだ。
また、この統一ルールの下で、私は試合でより優位になる。

■ダン・ヘンダーソンについて
ダンは既に自分が対戦したい相手として、オレとショーグンの名前を挙げている。ダンは明らかに83kg級を続けたがっている。
ダンがヴァンダレイに勝つとは思ってもいなかった。

■アンデウソン・シウバについて
もし俺がPRIDEウェルター級王座を捕れば、ズッファは間違いなくUFCミドル級王者、アンデウソン・シウバとの対戦を組んでくるだろう。でも俺はアンデウソンとは戦いたくないんだ。我々は友人同士で、彼が俺の家に遊びにくるような仲だ。

New manager
I am no longer with Ze´ Mario Sperry, my manager now is Jo´inha. Ze´ Mario is an excellent athlete, an excellent manager and a great friend, but he is a very busy man. I need to be valued more and to make more and I believe that Jo´inha can do this for me.

Training on the ground

I am sharpening my jiu jitsu with master Osvaldo Alves, I did not leave Brazilian Top Team, but I have much to learn with master Osvaldo.

Return to the ring

I asked Pride for some time, I want to come back in June. My knee already is 100%, and I am training, but I am well above fighting weight, at the moment I am around 93kg, but I want to continue fighting at 83kg, The 93kg class has Arona and he is my friend, and in my opinion he is the best in the category. Also there is Roge´rio Minotouro who is my friend and is one of the best. I could not see myself fighting them and with three athletes from the same team in the same weight it would be very complicated.

UFC - Pride and unification of the rules

I think this is going to be very good for the sport, the UFC has plenty of money now and salaries are improving, I think this is very good. Dana White and the Fertitta's have done serious work in the United States, I think that things are only going to grow.

As far as the rules, I think this improves things very much. I also believe this will facilitate my game. I think is is smart to prohibit stomps and soccer kicks, because they can result in an accident that would damage the name of the sport.

Dan Henderson

He has already said the fighters he wants to face are myself and Shogun. He will definitely want to continue fighting at 83kg, and it will be great for me to fight a guy who holds two titles - it will be a war and I hope to be succesful.

In the first fight between Wanderlei Silva and Dan Henderson, Henderson landed a smooth left and hurt Wanderleit bad, but I never imagined Henderson could beat him this time with the same thing.

Anderson Silva

If I get the belt in Pride, I'm sure Zuffa will consider this fight, but I don't want to fight Anderson. We are friends, he visits me at my house, he keeps up with me and asks how I am, we have created a very strong friendship.
