How to Find Your Engine's Top Dead Center (TDC)
If you have a car with no timing marks on the crank pulley crp129,here is a really neat, accurate and cheap way of finding the engine's TDC. This is done with the engine in the car and the head torqued down.
Steps
1. Make an indicator from some clear plastic tubing,a jar of light oil,and an old spark plug.
2. Break up an old spark plug and attach a length of clear plastic tubing to it (make it airtight).
3. Remove all the spark plugs.
4. Stick your thumb OVER the #1 cylinder spark plug hole. Rotate the engine (see note below on tricks for this) until you feel pressure on your thumb x431 v. That's the compression stroke. TDC is at the top of this stroke.
5. Screw in the spark plug with plastic tubing attached and insert the other end of the tube into a jar of light oil. Continue rotating the engine. Bubbles will appear until the piston reaches the top of its travel. When it starts down on the next stroke, the bubbles will stop and oil will begin traveling up the tube. Stop at a convenient point and mark the tube. Then mark the crank pulley and the engine body at a convenient spot.
6. Rotate the engine backwards and watch the oil recede into the jar. Continue rotating. As the piston continues past TDC and downward it will again suck oil into the tube. Rotate the engine till the oil again reaches the mark. STOP! Mark the crankshaft pulley where it lines up with the mark you made previously on the engine. You should now have two marks on the crankshaft pulley. The midpoint of these two marks lined up with the mark on the engine is tdc. Whoa! Almost like finding South with a wristwatch. Boy and girl scouts listen up.
7. Open the bonnet and support it. Find a socket spanner and togglebar to fit the crankshaft pulley nut. Remove all of the spark plugs noting which plug lead fits which plug, number them with adhesive tape.
With a small/medium screwdriver insert it gently into No1 cylinder and support the screwdriver whilst rotating the crankshaft pulley slowly until you feel the piston rising and touching the screwdriver. Continue turning slowly until the piston begins to go down. you will have hit top dead centre and started on down.
Look down at the rim of the crankshaft pulley you should find an engineered mark on it (a torch may be useful here) which should be adjacent to another mark on the timing case housing or the engine block, when these marks are aligned you have top dead centre.

How to Customize a Car
Four Methods:Body ModificationsAccessoriesWheels,Tires and SuspensionPaint
Customizing a car runs the gamut from adding simple accessories such as wheel covers to more extensive modifications, such as lowering the vehicle to the ground or chopping its top. New paint, interior upgrades and a myriad of other aftermarket accessories can help you to create the car of your dreams.
Method 1 of 4: Body Modifications
1. Modify the body for a one-of-a-kind look. Some of the most dramatic car customization options stem from body modifications. Changing the look of a stock car quickly sets it apart from the pack.
Chop the roof. Create a dramatic change to a car's profile by removing a few inches of height from the roof area. Typically, the window posts are cut to remove the roof, then a few inches of the posts are removed and the roof is welded back in place.
Upgrade the doors. Add panache to your vehicle by modifying your stock doors into show-stopping suicide-style,gull-wing or flip-up doors. For added effect,"shave" the door handles off the vehicle and install an electronic opening system so everyone will wonder how you get into your custom car Launch X431 V.
Modify body features. On older hot rods, try installing the car's bumper upside down. This simple hot rod trick gives a new look to an old vehicle. You can also remove the bolts from the bumpers and grind them smooth and re-chrome. Re-install the bumper using hidden bolts. Other options include installing a custom grill, relocating or changing the style of your car's headlights and taillights, and modifying the antennae to a French, hidden or a power model.
Method 2 of 4: Accessories
1. Add a variety of accessories to complete your car's new look. You have the option of making changes all at once,or if budget dictates, little by little.
Install aftermarket accessories. Add a custom steering wheel,light-up shifter knob and window tint for a truly custom look. Acid-etch windows or have the glass machine-etched with flowers, designs or the name of your car club.
Update your interior by changing out bench seats for bucket seats, replacing your vehicle's carpet and installing a custom-made tuck-and-roll interior. To further enhance your car's interior, install a sun roof or moon roof, and a high-tech audio system.
Method 3 of 4: Wheels,Tires and Suspension
1. Add custom wheels and change the diameter and width of the stock tires. Choose low-profile or wide tires, and sizes which will raise or lower the vehicle's stance.
For a more dramatic effect, add airbags or hydraulics to raise and lower the vehicle's suspension.
Method 4 of 4: Paint
1. Change the stock color of your vehicle to one not offered by the manufacturer. Top it off with custom graphics, flames and pinstriping launch x431 pro. Whether you choose a black satin finish or bright red with silver metal flake, custom paint will make your vehicle stand out.
Add graphics, pinstripes or flames to further customize your car.

How to Check Fuses

How to Check Fuses
The purpose of a fuse is to stop higher than normal current from flowing on a circuit. A fuse is designed to protect equipment from getting damage and from overheating, and potentially causing a fire. There are generally 2 sizes of fuses,a chip-style fuse and a cylindrical fuse. The chip-style fuse, which is 1.25 by 0.25 inches (32 mm by 6 mm),is typically used in automobiles. The cylindrical fuse can be found in electrical equipment. Fuses can range in current rating from a fraction of an amp to hundreds of amps. There are also 2 types of fuses,fast-acting and slow-blow. Fast-acting fuses will blow very quickly when the current rating of the fuse is exceeded. Slow-blow fuses are designed to blow when there is a continued overload on the circuit, such as a short circuit. The slow-blow fuses are designed not to blow when there is a temporary current spike. Checking whether a fuse is good or bad is a very simple process and is something everyone should know how to do.
Steps
1. Inspect the fuse. When a fuse is blown, you may see several indicators.
Check to see if the very fine wire in the fuse casing is broken with no discoloration to the casing. This most likely indicates that there is no major short on the circuit launch crp129.
Look to see if the very fine wire in the fuse casing is broken with slight discoloration to the fuse casing. This, again launch x431 v pro, most likely indicates that there is no major short on the circuit.
Verify that the very fine wire in the fuse casing is broken and the casing is discolored. This indicates that there is a major short on the circuit.
2. Find a multimeter to use to check the fuse. A multimeter is a tool used frequently when working with electricity.
3. Set the multimeter to the Ohms setting.
Place 1 of the leads of the multimeter to 1 end of the fuse. Place the other lead of the multimeter to the other end of the fuse.
Read the multimeter. If the fuse is not broken, you will get a resistance reading on the multimeter. If the fuse is broken, you will not get any reading on the multimeter.

How to Assess Smoke Coming from an Automobile
Exhaust coming from your vehicle's tailpipe should be clear Launch Creader VI. If you see smoke coming from your tailpipe, pay attention to the color of the smoke; you can use it to troubleshoot engine problems. It can tell you whether you have a leaky gasket or give you hints about your air/fuel mixture:
You see white vapor on a cold morning: Disregard it if it stops after the vehicle warms up. If it continues after the engine is warm,a cracked engine block or cylinder head or a leaky head gasket may be letting coolant into the engine. You need professional help with this one.
You see black smoke and you drive an older vehicle with a carburetor: The fuel/air mixture may need to be adjusted to a leaner setting or the carburetor float may have absorbed gasoline and is flooding the engine.
Black smoke from a vehicle with fuel injection usually requires special diagnosis and should be left to a repair facility.
Check to see whether the fuel/air mixture on either type of vehicle is too rich by running your finger around the inside edge of the tailpipe. (First make sure that it's not hot creader viii.) If carbon comes off on your finger, the mixture is probably too rich.
The smoke is light or dark blue: The vehicle is burning oil, which can indicate that oil is leaking into the combustion chambers and you may need to have your valve stem seals replaced or your engine rebuilt or replaced.
The smoke is light gray: The car may be burning automatic transmission fluid. Check the transmission dipstick. Is the fluid dark and burned-looking? Does it smell burned? If so,changing the fluid may solve your problem.
A faulty transmission vacuum modulator,as found on very old cars, also can suck transmission fluid into the engine, where it's burned in the cylinders and causes light gray smoke to come out of the tailpipe. Have the mechanic check the problem.

Getting Shoe Marks Off of Side of Car Doors
No matter how careful we try to be,it is practically impossible to get out of a car these days without scraping the interior door panel with your foot. One or two small marks might not catch the eye,but when the entire family is climbing in and out of your car on a daily basis, the wear and tear soon begins to show. Getting rid of shoe marks is surprisingly easy, but the method that works best will depend on how bad the scuffing is.
Things You'll Need: Masking tape,Old newspaper,Bucket of warm water,Mild detergent,Sponge,Dry cloth,Moisturized baby wipes,Interior detailing gel,Microfiber cloth,Cutting compound
Instructions
1. Remove personal belongings from the pocket of the door interior. Block off any fabric parts of the door interior with masking tape and old newspaper to protect them from getting wet. Fill a bucket with warm water and add a small amount of mild detergent.
2. Immerse a sponge into the bucket and wring it until the water stops running freely. Apply the damp sponge to the affected area and wipe over it gently to remove all traces of dirt. Try not to push down to hard on the sponge as the grit in the dirt can be abrasive and too much pressure might lead to scratches.
3. Dry the interior of the car door thoroughly with a clean cloth and inspect the remaining marks. Take a fistful of moisturized baby wipes and gently rub away at the scuff marks. The texture of the moisturized baby wipes is ideal for removing marks from leather or vinyl upholstery and most scuffs should come away quite easily creader viii. Dry the residue from the baby wipes with a clean cloth and wipe again with a damp sponge to avoid stains.
4. Apply a small amount of interior detailing gel to a microfiber cloth,if you are trying to remove heavy scuff marks. These gels are mildly abrasive but will not cause any visible signs of scratching. Rub the gel gently into the scuff marks until the marks are lifted away. Use additional applications of gel as required until all of the scuff marks are removed.
5. Spread out any remaining interior detailing gel across the rest of the vinyl or leather, using a clean microfiber cloth,to leave a shiny,blemish-free appearance. If shoe scuffs are proving to be particularly stubborn launch x431 v,repeat the procedure with a fine grade-cutting compound, followed by an additional application of interior detailing gel.
6. Remove the masking tape and newspaper from the door interior.
