Does Anyone Know About the Second Coming of Jesus?

By Zhao Hui

During a Bible study, I spoke of the question that had confused me for a long time: “Brothers and sisters, the Lord Jesus said, ‘But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only’ (Mat 24:36). We can see in this scripture that no one will know when the Lord will return, so why do so many people testify that the Lord Jesus has come? What does this mean?” After I finished, some became immersed in contemplation, and some said, “Now that you say it, we’d better have a discussion about it.”

At that time, preacher Zhao Xun nodded his head and said, “All right, this question is worth discussing. The Lord said His coming is unknown by all. These days I have been thinking about this question, and it seems that our understanding is not pure and such reasoning does not make sense. Let’s think about it: If the Lord doesn’t let people know of His coming, how can people follow and believe in Him? How can God accomplish His work of saving people? If we hold to these words, won’t we miss the Lord’s coming?” Hearing these words, some sisters and brothers were astonished, some bowed their heads and began to contemplate, and some said, “You are totally right; it makes sense!” Zhao Xun continued, “Then, how can we get a pure understanding of this scripture? Now, let’s read this verse together with the previous verses. Matthew 24:32-36 says, ‘Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near: So likewise you, when you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Truly I say to you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.’ These verses are talking about signs of the Lord’s return. From these words, I think perhaps the Lord will come again in the flesh, just like the Lord Jesus, but we don’t know when, on which day, or at which moment He will enter the door. This is to say, ‘no one knows about that day or hour,’ which means that no one knows about the moment when Christ will come. That is, no one knows on which day or at which moment the Lord will descend, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father (the Spirit). However, after Christ comes, He will surely let men know it, because the purpose of God being incarnated and coming to the world is to save men. If He comes but doesn’t let men know it, how can we receive salvation from Him? The Lord Jesus said, ‘And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him’ (Mat 25:6). ‘Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me’ (Rev 3:20). From these two verses we can see that after the Lord comes, some people will know it, and they will spread His gospel to those who haven’t accepted it. Here scriptures say, when someone yells that the bridegroom, the Lord Jesus has come, we need to walk out to welcome Him. And He will sup with those who hear His voice and open the door. Thus I think it is completely wrong to interpret the word ‘of that day and hour knows no man’ in Matthew 24:36 as no one knows about it even after the Lord comes.”

After hearing the words of brother Zhao, I felt enlightened and had some understanding of the real meaning of these scriptures. However, when I pondered it over, there were still some aspects I was not clear about. I asked, “Brother Zhao, just now you said when the Lord Jesus comes as the Son of man, no one knows, but when the Lord works, He will surely let men know. How did the ones spreading the coming of the Lord Jesus know it?” Hearing that, the sisters and brothers all agreed with me, “All right, how did they know?” Zhao Xun thought about it for a while and said, “Brothers and sisters, before we answer this question, let’s first see how those followers of the Lord Jesus at that time knew that the Lord Jesus was the Messiah. We can see from the Bible, Peter, Philip, James, John, Matthew and others; when the Lord called them, they didn’t know that Jesus was the Messiah, but they followed the Lord and heard His preaching without any hesitation. There are many verses recorded in the Bible that many people followed the Lord and obeyed His teachings after hearing of Him. These instances show us that we first need to have a thirsty heart if we want to gain the true way. When we hear the message about the Lord’s coming or when God sends someone to call us, we should listen to the message and seek the verification, thus we’ll have the opportunity to receive inspiration from God and recognize that the Lord is the Messiah. As the scriptures said, ‘So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God’ (Rom 10:17). That is, believing in the way is based on hearing of the way. Those who followed the Lord Jesus saw the deeds of the Lord Jesus by hearing His words, and recognized that the Lord Jesus was the Messiah who was to come. For example, when Peter followed the Lord Jesus, he received inspiration and enlightenment from the Holy Spirit, and knew that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the living God because he received and pondered over God’s words carefully. Therefore, he said, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? you have the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that you are that Christ, the Son of the living God’ (John 6:68-69). Also, the woman of Samaria recognized that Jesus was the Messiah who was prophesied to come, for she knew that only God examines the innermost heart of man, only God has a thorough understanding of man. Also, Nathanael was the sheep of God, who can recognize the voice of God. Nathanael felt only God can speak his identity out before seeing him, only God is omnipotent and omniscient, and only God examines the innermost heart of man. Apart from knowing God from His words, we can also know God through His work. For example, still more people knew that Jesus was “from God” because they had seen that Jesus could make the blind see, the lame walk, leprosy be cured, and the dead be raised. As the Bible says, ‘Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did’ (John 2:23). ‘The same came to Jesus by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that you do, except God be with him’ (John 3:2). From these we can see when Jesus came to earth and did his work, they knew that Jesus was the coming Messiah because they heard Jesus’ preaching and saw his work. Also, after Jesus’ resurrection, He commissioned His disciples to preach the gospel of the cross to all nations. As the Bible says, ‘All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you: and, see, I am with you always, even to the end of the world’ (Mat 28:18-20). ‘But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come on you: and you shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth’ (Acts 1:8). Thus, we can see that Jesus Christ’s gospel was passed down by those who first knew that Jesus was the Messiah. In this way, the Lord’s gospel of the cross is passed down from generation to generation up to this day. People believe in the Lord after hearing others preach Jesus’ gospel. Likewise, these who testify that the Lord has come must have heard the preaching of the Lord Jesus’ second coming and then they knew about it. This is just as we believed in the Lord at that time through hearing others preach the gospel of the cross, and it is completely in accordance with the word ‘faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.’”

As Zhao Xun finished speaking, brothers and sisters immediately had a discussion. I pondered over what brother Zhao Xun said, and experienced an epiphany. I thought, “But of that day and that hour knows no man” (Mat 24:36), this verse means that no one knows the moment when Christ will come. However, after Christ comes to do His work, someone will know it. Now, there are some who are witnessing that the Lord has come, if I want to know whether the Lord has come or not, I need to hear the utterances of the coming of the Lord and to verify whether it is the voice of God. Otherwise, I will probably miss the chance of being raptured by the coming Lord. So I should hear the Lord’s words they preach …

Christ of the Last Days, the Savior Has Come “Who’s Nailing God to the Cross Again?” (Short Film)

2020-05-30 16:04:21 | Gospel Movies

Plot synopsis:

Gu Shoucheng is a pastor in a house church in China. He has believed in the Lord for many years, and has been working consistently on his sermons, and he has been all over preaching the gospel. He has been arrested and imprisoned because of preaching the gospel, and did 12 years’ time. After getting out of prison, Gu Shoucheng continued to work in the church. However, when Almighty God’s gospel of the kingdom came upon the church that Gu Shoucheng belongs to, he doesn’t seek or investigate it at all, but stubbornly relies upon his own notions and conceptions to condemn God’s work in the last days, and he does everything he can to disseminate notions and fallacies to disrupt and block believers from accepting the true way. It was particularly after reading the words of Almighty God that Gu Shoucheng discovered that they truly possessed authority and power and that whoever heard them would be convinced, and he became deeply afraid that anyone in the church who read the words of Almighty God would become a believer in Him. He feared that then his status and his living would become unsustainable. So, he discussed this with Elder Wang Sen and others in the church and decided to deceive people with rumors used by the Chinese Communist government attacking and condemning Almighty God. Gu Shoucheng and Wang Sen do their utmost to seal up the church and block the people from accepting the true way, and they even cooperate with the CCP satanic regime to arrest and persecute those who bear witness to Almighty God. Their actions seriously offend God’s disposition and are subject to His curse. As Wang Sen is on his way to arrest some people who are spreading the gospel of the kingdom, he gets into a car accident and dies at the scene. Gu Shoucheng is living in fear and desperation and is seized with panic. He frequently says to himself: “Is my condemnation of Almighty God nailing God to the cross again?”

Bible Verses About Signs of the End Times

2020-05-29 18:32:53 | Bible Verses by Topic

In 2020, disasters such as wars, fires, insect plagues, plagues, famines are occurring constantly and becoming greater and greater. Many people realize that these signs indicate that the end times are drawing near. So what warning exactly do these signs give us? What do they have to do with the Lord’s return? Let’s read these Bible verses about signs of the end times to learn more about the Lord’s return.

Matthew 24:3
And as he sat on the mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world?

Matthew 24:6-8
6And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Matthew 24:21
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Revelation 16:18
And there were voices, and thunders, and lightning; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were on the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

Revelation 6:12-13
12And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, see, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; 13And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, even as a fig tree casts her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

Joel 2:30-31
30And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. 31The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come.

2 Timothy 3:1-5
1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Relevant Words of God:
The last days have arrived and countries across the world are in turmoil. There is political disarray, there are famines, pestilences, floods, and droughts appearing everywhere.

Excerpted from “Practice (2)”

In speaking of the last days, this refers to a separate age, one in which Jesus said you will surely encounter disaster, and encounter earthquakes, famines, and plagues, which will show that this is a new age, and is no longer the old Age of Grace.

Excerpted from “The Vision of God’s Work (3)”

All manner of disasters will befall, one after another; all nations and places will experience calamities: Plague, famine, flood, drought, and earthquakes are everywhere. These disasters are not just happening in one or two places, nor will they be over within a day or two; rather, instead they will expand across a greater and greater area, and become more and more severe. During this time, all manner of insect plagues will arise one after another, and the phenomenon of cannibalism will occur everywhere. This is My judgment upon all nations and peoples.

Excerpted from “Chapter 65”

In the world, earthquakes are the beginning of disaster. First, I make the world—the earth, that is—change, and afterward come plagues and famines. This is My plan, and these are My steps, and I will mobilize everything to serve Me in order to complete My management plan. Thus, the entire universe world shall be destroyed, even without My direct intervention. When I first became flesh and was nailed to the cross, the earth shook tremendously, and it will be the same when the end comes. Earthquakes will begin at the very moment I enter the spiritual realm from the flesh. Thus, the firstborn sons will absolutely not suffer from disaster, whereas those who are not firstborn sons will be left to suffer amid the disasters. Therefore, from a human perspective, everyone is willing to be a firstborn son.

Excerpted from “Chapter 108”

The Way of the Second Coming of Jesus – Luke 12:40

2020-05-28 06:50:19 | Bible Verse of the Day

Be you therefore ready also: for the Son of man comes at an hour when you think not.

- Luke 12:40

Thought on Today’s Verse:

This verse refers to the prophecy of the second coming of Jesus. The day of Jesus coming is unimaginable to us. Since we cannot imagine that, then how should we welcome the second coming of Jesus? How should we prepare ourselves? This prophecy mentions the Son of man, and it refers to being born of man and a person with normal humanity. Just as Jesus, He spoke and worked in normal humanity of the flesh. In outward appearance He looks like a normal and ordinary human, doing His work and speaking His word practically and realistically among men. That is to say, only God incarnate can be called the Son of man. Obviously, how to know the incarnate Son of man is crucial to being able to receive the return of the Lord and be raptured into the kingdom of heaven. Then how can we recognize the incarnate Son of man?

God says, “He who is God’s incarnation shall hold the substance of God, and He who is God’s incarnation shall hold the expression of God. Since God becomes flesh, He shall bring forth the work He must do, and since God becomes flesh, He shall express what He is, and shall be able to bring the truth to man, bestow life upon man, and show man the way. Flesh that does not contain the substance of God is surely not the incarnate God; of this there is no doubt. To investigate whether it is God’s incarnate flesh, man must determine this from the disposition He expresses and the words He speaks. Which is to say, whether or not it is God’s incarnate flesh, and whether or not it is the true way, must be judged from His substance. And so, in determining whether it is the flesh of God incarnate, the key is to pay attention to His substance (His work, His words, His disposition, and many more), rather than external appearance.

If You Don’t Welcome the Lord After Hearing Someone Testify That the Lord Has Returned, You’ll Lose His Salvation of the Last Days

Now on Facebook, Whatsapp, and Twitter, there is a group of people who have welcomed the Lord and are testifying the Lord’s return. However, after some people hear this news, they don’t humbly seek it or immediately welcome the Lord. They, based on the verse, “But of that day and hour knows no man,” don’t believe that the Lord has returned. However, have we ever thought that we may never meet the Lord by holding on to such a view? If no one knew when the Lord comes, how could the Lord do the work of saving people? How can we gain the Lord’s end-time salvation? The Lord prophesied long ago that after He returns, some people will know.

The Lord Jesus said, “And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go you out to meet him” (Mat 25:6). Revelation says, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me” (Rev 3:20). From this we can see that when the Lord comes, someone will cry out that He has returned, and the Lord will knock at our door. So, when the Lord comes back, some people will know. Besides, “But of that day and hour knows no man” means that no one knows the exact time the Lord returns. But after He comes to do His work, it will certainly be known by people, because the purpose of God coming among men is to save men. If He comes and does not let men know, then His work would be meaningless and we are unable to gain salvation through Him. Thus, understanding “But of that day and hour knows no man” as no one learning of the Lord’s coming after it occurs is erroneous. By holding on to this view, we’ll surely lose God’s salvation in the last days. Do you want to welcome the Lord as soon as possible? Here there is the way to find the footsteps of God.  Please watch the follow:
