PortableAppは、USBメモリで起動するアプリケーションの詰め合わせである。

Standard Edition に同梱されてるソフトは、

Mozilla Firefox - Portable Edition (web browser)
Gaim Portable (instant messaging)
OpenOffice.org Portable (office suite)
Sudoku Portable (puzzle game)
Mozilla Sunbird - Portable Edition (calendar/task manager)
Mozilla Thunderbird - Portable Edition (email client)
である。
これさえあれば、一通りのことはできそうだ。
Firefox Portableを日本語化

Locale-Switcher Extension は言語を切り替える拡張である。
以下のサイトからインストールすることができる。

以下の場所にja.xpiがあるで、このファイルをダウンロードする。

ダウンロードしたファイルをインストールする。
インストールしたら、Portable Firefox を再起動する。
メニューなどが日本語になっていたら成功である。
Thunderbird Portableを日本語化

言語切り替え用の拡張機能（Thunderbird 1.5 用の Locale-Switcher ： switch-locales-1.5.1.xpi ）を下記のURLからダウンロードする。

次に、日本語ランゲージパック（ja.xpi）を下記のURLからダウンロードする。

Thunderbird Portable を起動する。
ThunderbirdPortable.exe
「Tools」→「Extensions」から、拡張機能（Extensions）のダイアログを開き、「switch-locales-1.5.1.xpi」をドラッグ＆ドロップする。
拡張機能をインストールするためのダイアログが開くので、「Install Now」をクリックする。
続いて、「ja.xpi」も同様にしてインストールする。
インストールが完了したら、このダイアログは閉じて、Thunderbird Portable を再起動する。
「Tools」→「Other Langueages」→「Japanese」で、使用する言語を日本語に切り替えることができる。
もう一度 Thunderbird Portable を再起動する。
メニューなどが日本語になっていたら成功である。
Sunbird Portableを日本語化
これは、情報が少なかった。

にSunbird日本語パックがある。
Sunbird を起動し、メニューの [Tools] - [Add-ons] を選び、アドオン管理ウィンドウを開く。
左下の [Install] ボタンから、日本語パックを選択し、インストールする。
右下の [Restart Calendar] ボタンから、Sunbird を再起動させる。
メニューなどが日本語になっていたら成功である。
Open Office Portableを日本語化
