Debut in Japan (EXID) that excites fans
ファンも沸き返る日本デビュー(EXID)

Girl group EXID successfully finished their official debut showcase in Japan.

EXID held a press conference and showcase at Zepp Tokyo on the 27th, and was greeted with enthusiastic cheers from local fans, launching the signal flare of their successful Japanese debut.

On this day, EXID opened the showcase with "UP&DOWN". After finishing the stage, EXID said, "I was really surprised that more fans came than I expected. Thank you. We don't perform in Japan very often, but I'm very happy to have the opportunity to work like this and release an album."

They then heated up the stage with "Night Rather Than Day," "DDD," and "HOT PINK." Solji, a member who has been on hiatus due to health issues, made a surprise phone call and expressed her gratitude to fans, saying, "I congratulate EXID on their Japanese debut. I'm sorry I couldn't perform, I want to meet all my Japanese fans, so please wait for me."

EXID will continue to perform actively, starting with the release of the Japanese version of their Japanese debut album "UP&DOWN" on August 22nd, in Tokyo on August 23rd and Osaka on August 25th.

Will EXID not debut in Japan?

They are one of the most popular girl groups overseas, so I've always wondered about this.

Some of the songs in their repertoire on YouTube have been viewed in tens of millions of times.

The members have performed in Hong Kong and Singapore without leader Solji, so they are probably the only ones who have not debuted in Japan with such teamwork.

Solji continues to fight her illness.

There is still no prospect of her returning, but she is definitely determined to return to the group, and the other members also strongly hope for that.

Their team spirit and camaraderie are strong, so in a way they could be called a Japanese-style girl group.

However, I thought that their musical style might make it difficult for them to attract a certain fan base in Japan.

Their leader Solji is also absent, so I thought that this was probably why they hadn't made up their mind to debut in Japan.

As soon as an article about their Japanese debut came out, I went to YouTube. I found the video in question.

I was relieved to see so many fans out and about.

It seems that there were more fans eagerly awaiting their Japanese debut than I had thought.

During the previous K-pop boom (around 2010), when girl groups began to enter the Japanese market one after another, the popularity of K-pop itself seemed to be waning.

However, that hasn't happened this time.

I never expected to see Hani and her dynamic sexiness on a group-only stage.

Even through the video, it's clear that EXID fans are excited about their performance.
