Korean girl group T-ARA's Japanese debut single, "Bo Peep Bo Peep," has reached No. 1 on Billboard Japan.

On the 7th, Billboard Japan introduced the group, saying, "The cat dance that T-ARA performs on stage during Bo Peep Bo Peep is hugely popular," and that "T-ARA is a K-pop girl group on par with KARA and Girls' Generation."

Before setting this new record, T-ARA had already topped both the Oricon single daily and weekly rankings with the single.

According to Oricon, this is the first time that a foreign female singer (including groups and solo artists) has achieved the weekly No. 1 spot on their debut single in the first week of its release.

T-ARA is scheduled to release a new album in Korea early next month.

Cha Seung Won appears in the promotional video for T-ara's new song.

Cha Seung Won appeared in the promotional videos for T-ara's new songs "Cry Cry" and "Lovey-Dovey".

This time, T-ara's new songs were filmed in the form of a 30-minute drama, with the two songs forming one story.

The filming was done by Cha Eun Taek, a master of promotional videos, and the cinematic footage even features Cha Seung Won's amazing acting.

T-ara commented, "We were touched when we heard that Cha Seung Won would be appearing in our promotional video."

Even in the midst of their busy schedules, T-ara spoke of their affection for Cha Seung Won, saying that they never missed a single episode of the drama "The Greatest Love," in which Cha Soo Won starred.

T-ara will be making a comeback in early November and is preparing an album with some of Korea's best composers, including Cho Young-soo, Sinsa-dong Tiger, and Yonggaman Hyun-jae (Brave Brothers).

Currently, T-ara is active in both Japan and Korea.

Many K-pop groups are flocking to Japan, but it was predicted that T-ARA would be the first to make waves in the Japanese music market after KARA and Girls' Generation.

It was early summer.

Unlike last year, when Girls' Generation and KARA came on the scene, it was predicted that this year a large number of K-pop groups would land here early on.

However, even though the Japanese music market is large, it is limited.

I expected that some girl groups would fail to produce results and the results would be mixed.

However, it seems that there are no groups whose results are close to zero.

This may be due to the fact that the success of KARA and Girls' Generation has raised awareness and expectations of K-POP.

It may be difficult for newer groups to gain fans, but it is also possible that this is a temporary phenomenon in which fans who supported KARA and Girls' Generation have become more interested in K-POP and have begun to listen to the music of other groups.

T-ara appears to have made their presence known with their eccentric fashion and cute, familiar performances.

Their comical (cat dance) seems to have really touched the hearts of the younger generation (especially women).

The "Bo Peep Bo Peep" dance is often seen in K-POP flash mobs that are popping up all over the world.

I've heard that their recent hit song "Roly-Poly" has charted in Central America, so they may become just as popular in Japan as KARA and Girls' Generation.

I saw T-ara's live performance at M Net's Dream Concert, and Soyeon's singing voice was impressive.

It's no wonder that she was the leader of Girls' Generation before their debut.

Her singing ability may hold the key to maintaining T-ara's popularity.
