Accepting a selection of input voltage that straddles operating voltage
I want to create a system that runs at 5v and about 350ma.I want that system to an input voltage between 1.8V on top of that 15V.How can i make that happen goal with a minimum component cost in my input power circuit?
Can there be a single"Regulator / boost ripping tools"Out there that boost a 1.8V input current up to 5V and step a 15V input current down to 5V?Or is the only way to accomplish this to have separate input ports and sub circuits for the"Exceptional"Material voltages and"Cheap"Port voltages, with a schottky diode union offering the homepage operating voltage as shown below in my(Admittedly things to consider)Schematic?
