Information about exciting places in Niigata, Japan

Finally Panda Yaki!!

2013-04-28 | 日記
Finally I ate Panda Yaki today. It was yummy!!! There was a queue in front of the store as I thought.

Actually, I had imagined a kind of pancake, but it wasn't. It was a kind of Mochi(rice cake). It was chewy and gummy.

Green beans paste was sweet. Maybe you should try when you are hungry, it was a little heavy for me. Because I ate just after breakfast.

Yahiko was crowded today. I wanted to go to Yahiko Shrine, but parking was full, so I didn't go.
There were some flowers and new leaves on the trees. Looked nice!!

Today, on the first day of the Golden Week,
I went to KOKOMO CAFE in Kameda.
It is so stylish restaurant in the stylish building.
The building is public. A library is also there.

If you are interested in the modern architecture and you have a car,
it is highly recommended!

Panda yaki

2013-04-25 | グルメ
Panda Yaki won 1st award in Tokyo in 2010.

Actually, I haven't tried yet. But I eagerly want to eat one.
I heard there is always a long queue in front of the store.

Sweet green soybeans are inside of manju.

The store is located near Yahiko Station.
They don’t sell Panda yaki outside of the store.
You can’t order on the internet. :-c

Let’s see…. Which would you like to try Karinto Manju or Panda yaki?

Karinto Manju is sold in Tsukioka, Panda Yaki is sold in Yahiko.
Both places have good Onsen!!

Yahiko is a holly place in Niigata.

Access is easy! You can visit Yahiko by JR train! Station name is Yahiko.

I will recommend the hotel called “Minoya”. It has English website.

Tsukioka Onsen

2013-04-18 | 旅行
Its quality of water is perfect!
Your skin will be softer and smoother.
The color of water is green.
Smells onsen! (Do you know? It smells like rotten egg! That means good quality and genuine onsen water)

Tsukioka onsen is located in countryside in Niigata.
It takes 15mins by shuttle bus from JR Toyosaka station.

When you’d like to get in the hot-springs, usually you are requested to stay the hotel one night. It costs a lot!
But some of hotels in Tsukioka have day trip courses. It includes lunch, hot-springs, towels, and individual room to rest. Or just hot-springs and towels. It depends on the hotel.
