オーブン粘土、ポリマークレイとは、オーブンで焼いて固めるタイプの粘土のことで焼く前は油粘土のような柔らかい粘土ですが、
焼いた後はプラスチックのように固くなり、耐水性になる粘土です。粘土そのものに発色があり、様々な色の粘土が売られているので、
絵具のように自由に混色して色を作ることができます!!また、焼く際に 溶けたり、燃えてしまわないものであれば組み合わせて焼くことが出来るため、
金属やガラス、陶器などと合わせて焼くことも可能です。

お若い方ですが中学生のころよりずっと続けているそうです。
とても小さな世界ですが見ているととても癒されホッとします。
作業工程は専門の道具がありちゃんと粘土の量も計って作品を作っておられます。
0.01g まで測れる測りです。 This can measure from 0.01g.

Oven Clay, Polymer Clay is the soft clay that will be hardened by heating up by using a microwave.
After heated up it turned to hard as like plastic and waterproof.
There are so many colors so you can mix them up and create various colors. Also,
when heat it up you can put things that can’t be melt or burned, so you can make things with metal, glass and pottery.
At Taiyo Koubou there is a person who makes Oven Clay.
She’s still young, but she’s been making ones from when she was a junior high student.
It’s a tiny world, but if I see it, it makes me feel happy and relieved.
The process is.. there’s a special tool, measure clay’s weight and make products.
I think if you once see them the attraction of them will be delivered to you all.
In the end of June, we are going to sell our products in Isahaya.
