The Jubilee 1

Leviticus 25:8 And you shall count off seven Sabbaths of years to yourself, seven times seven years, so that you have the time of seven Sabbaths of years, that is, forty-nine years.

Leviticus 25:9 Then you shall sound aloud the ram's horn in the seventh month on the tenth day of the month; on the Day of Expiation you shall sound the trumpet throughout all your land.

Leviticus 25:10 And you shall sanctify the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family.

The meaning of jubilee in the Bible

the first time when "jubilee" was mentioned is in Leviticus chapter 25. the children of Israel had come out of Egypt under Moses, and they got alloted portion in the good land, the land of Canaan. but there are always some people who are lazy and do not like to labor. under God's charging, if the people labor faithfully on their alloted piece of land, God will bless them with rich produce of the land. every seventh year, the Sabbath year, they were not allowed to sow on the land. and God will bless them with double portion of produce, on which they could feed on during the Sabbath year. but as we say, those who are lazy and who do not labor, they of course will become poor, and will even sell the possesion, the land, and eventually themselves in order to make a living. but God is merciful and gracious. so at the fiftieth year, the year of jubilee, they can gain free freedom, and they can get their land, houses, etc back freely. 

Isaiah 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn;

the year of jubilee is also called "the acceptable year of Jehovah". This can also be translated as “the year of Jehovah’s grace.” 

this verse was quoted by the Lord Jesus in the gospel of Luke

Luke 4:16 And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up, and according to His custom He entered on the Sabbath day into the synagogue and stood up to read.

Luk 4:17 And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written,

Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to announce the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to send away in release those who are oppressed,

Luke 4:19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, the year of jubilee.''

Luke 4:20 And when He rolled up the scroll and gave it back to the attendant, He sat down. And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on Him.

Luke 4:21 And He began to say to them, Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.

Luke 4:22 And all bore witness to Him and marveled at the words of grace proceeding out of H

Therefore, the year of jubilee is the year of grace. althouth man has become poor, reckless and lawless, even was sold under the slavery of Satan, no possession, no freedom. However, in the year of jubilee every owner is returned to what he has sold, and everyone regains his freedom.

"Therefore, in the year of jubilee there are two main blessings: the returning of every man to his lost possession and the liberation from slavery. If we want to be truly free and able to enjoy God as our possession, we must receive the Lord Jesus as the real jubilee in us. If we have Him, our possession is recovered, and our freedom is returned to us. The Lord Jesus has released us so that we may have God as our possession and be delivered from the bondage of sin and Satan in order that we may have real freedom."

before I was saved, I was under the bondage and even heavy burden. you know the situation in China, everyone must work so so so hard, in order to get the loan to buy a house for his own. the housing price never stops going up. the normal condition is that (suppose you are normal salary people, not those who are born in super wealthy families, like Bill Gates), if you are planning to get married, with the help of both parents to pay off the installment, you and your spouse will work hard to secure the job and pay back the loan from the bank for the rest of your life.....or at least more than 30 years. yea, so that was me before I got saved. My mum was hoping that I can get a nice house with garden for her.......and my dad was hoping me to buy a car for her. since I am the only child, of course, I must take good care of my parents. that was my heavy burden. everyday, I work hard and overtime without extra pay, just hope that the boss will see I am very good and will not kick me out of the position. that time I was always thinking, what is the meaning of all these???? all my life, all my beautiful youth, is just to get money, to get loan, for these kinds of things??????????????? I was indeed a slave under the bondage of Satan. But praise the Lord!!! i got saved!!! someone proclaimed the acceptable year of Jehovah to me!!!! I belive into the Lord, now I am enjoying jubilee!!!!!!!!

"The Chinese word for jubilee means “everything being to one’s satisfaction.” When everything is to our satisfaction, we are in the jubilee. Jubilee means having no worry or anxiety, no concern or care, no lack or shortage, no sickness or calamity, and no problems whatsoever, but rather having all benefits; hence, everything is to our satisfaction. How is it possible today for a person to have everything to his satisfaction?"

Everything can be satisfying to us only after we have gained the all-inclusive Christ as our enjoyment.

Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak according to lack, for I have learned, in whatever circumstances I am, to be content.

Philippians 4:12 I know also how to be abased, and I know how to abound; in everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to hunger, both to abound and to lack.

Philippians 4:13 I am able to do all things in Him who empowers me.

It is not outward persons, matters, or things but Christ within who enables us to be calm and free of worries as we face all kinds of situations.  If we live by Christ in a certain matter and allow Him to live in us, we enjoy jubilee in that matter. In this way everything pertaining to that particular matter is to our satisfaction. If we allow Christ to live in us and if we live by Him, everything is to our satisfaction. Otherwise, everything is a problem, and nothing is a jubilee. In other words, when Christ comes into us, jubilee comes into us.
