Could you, just for now, let go of your dislike or disapproval for it?
Did it feel somehow that money disliked or disapproved of you, or was withholding in relationship to you? I know this might not make sense, but the feelings might be there, anyway.

Did you challenge, oppose, or threaten money in any way? Now, again, since money isn’t a person, even though we do anthropomorphize it, this might be a little bit of a stretch. But, on a feeling level, you might feel that way.

Did money challenge, oppose, or threaten you? Or did it feel that way?
If so, could you let go of wanting the security or survival that the feeling pulls up into your awareness?
Did you in some way challenge, oppose, or threaten money? Could you let go of wanting to do that?

You may cycle back through these questions as much as you need to, until you can say “yes” to all three questions at the end. If you are able to do that, you’ll see your whole feeling relationship to money shift. Even though money is an object and not a person, in our awareness, we feel in relationship to it. Releasing feelings about it in this way can really clear up a lot of static.
Julia: Freedom to Deserve the Best

Julia found the Method when she immigrated to Canada from Romania approximately ten years ago. It was a difficult transition. She was a single mother, had no money, and needed to learn two languages, since she was living in Quebec, both French and English. She also had financial problems. Her income doing manicures was about $900 a month, and her expenses equaled it. There was hardly any money left over for food, much less anything else. “With all my worries and suffering, it wasn’t freedom,” she says. “So, I was amazed once I started to learn the Sedona Method, as it was so easy and worked so fast. Four days after I let go of my resistance to my lack of abundance, I got a new customer from an Orthodox Jewish community. She found a tiny ad I’d placed in the phonebook. Julia realized that her poverty consciousness was inherited from the attitudes people lived with in her native country. She subconsciously had a fear of becoming rich. What are the advantages of being poor and being wealthy? she’d ask. She noticed that when she spent money, it made her feel funny inside. She decided to reverse her habit of always buying
the cheaper item on the store shelf. She kept releasing on deserving better, using questions such as: Can I allow myself to remember the belief that I had no money? and: Can I remember how I used to believe that I couldn’t have money? She also saw that her attachment to money was based on wanting security/survival.
“Before releasing, we are chained and don’t know it,” says Julia. “After learning to release, we know that we are chained, and it’s painful unless we let go. In my resistance, my solar plexus would hurt. But slowly it dissolved as I worked on my goals about financial security. Now, I feel peaceful, and my income is dependable.”
The Advantages and Disadvantages of Money

Now, you’re going to use the Advantages/Disadvantages Process to focus on having what you want in life. Remember to let go of both the advantages and the disadvantages. Releasing on both sides of the equation will pull the goal of financial freedom and abundance into your conscious awareness.

Does that come from wanting approval, control, or security/survival?
Whichever want it is: Could you allow yourself to let it go?
What’s a disadvantage to you in having financial freedom or abundance?
If none comes up, release on that. Then, determine if there’s any sense of wanting approval, control, or security underneath it.
Whichever want it is: Could you allow it to release?
Remember, if you don’t feel like you have financial freedom or abundance in your life now, there are probably hidden disadvantages to having financial freedom or abundance. So, stay as open to this process as you can, and allow yourself to focus on whatever thought or feeling first comes to mind. Then release it. Until you uncover the hidden disadvantages, they’ll keep running your life.

If you are able to do that, even a little, notice how much better you feel inside. If you answer “no,” you obviously feel that there is more releasing to be done on the issue of control. Keep repeating the questions above until you let go. If you answer “yes,” feel free to move on to the next section on approval.

Could you let go of that dislike or disapproval for it?
Did you feel somehow that money disliked or disapproved of anything in you? Now, I know that’s a little bit of a stretch, but you might feel that way.

Could you, just for now, let go of your dislike or disapproval for it?
Did it feel somehow that money disliked or disapproved of you, or was withholding in relationship to you? I know this might not make sense, but the feelings might be there, anyway.

Just for now, could you allow yourself to have only love and acceptance feelings towards money? Just could you?

Remember this last question is a decision or choice. Again, notice how this little bit of releasing on approval in relationship to money has shifted your awareness some more. You may continue doing the approval questions if you need to, or move on and explore wanting security in relationship to money.

Did you challenge, oppose, or threaten money in any way? Now, again, since money isn’t a person, even though we do anthropomorphize it, this might be a little bit of a stretch. But, on a feeling level, you might feel that way.

If so, could you let go of wanting the security or survival that the feeling pulls up into your awareness?

You may cycle back through these questions as much as you need to, until you can say “yes” to all three questions at the end. If you are able to do that, you’ll see your whole feeling relationship to money shift. Even though money is an object and not a person, in our awareness, we feel in relationship to it. Releasing feelings about it in this way can really clear up a lot of static.
Julia: Freedom to Deserve the Best

Julia found the Method when she immigrated to Canada from Romania approximately ten years ago. It was a difficult transition. She was a single mother, had no money, and needed to learn two languages, since she was living in Quebec, both French and English. She also had financial problems. Her income doing manicures was about $900 a month, and her expenses equaled it. There was hardly any money left over for food, much less anything else. “With all my worries and suffering, it wasn’t freedom,” she says. “So, I was amazed once I started to learn the Sedona Method, as it was so easy and worked so fast. Four days after I let go of my resistance to my lack of abundance, I got a new customer from an Orthodox Jewish community. She found a tiny ad I’d placed in the phonebook. She sent me her mother, grandmother, nieces, and friends. In a month and a half, my business tripled. I was earning $2,000, and I didn’t do anything but release.”
Julia realized that her poverty consciousness was inherited from the attitudes people lived with in her native country. She subconsciously had a fear of becoming rich. What are the advantages of being poor and being wealthy? she’d ask. She noticed that when she spent money, it made her feel funny inside. She decided to reverse her habit of always buying
the cheaper item on the store shelf. She kept releasing on deserving better, using questions such as: Can I allow myself to remember the belief that I had no money? and: Can I remember how I used to believe that I couldn’t have money? She also saw that her attachment to money was based on wanting security/survival.
“Before releasing, we are chained and don’t know it,” says Julia. “After learning to release, we know that we are chained, and it’s painful unless we let go. In my resistance, my solar plexus would hurt. But slowly it dissolved as I worked on my goals about financial security. Now, I feel peaceful, and my income is dependable.”
The Advantages and Disadvantages of Money

Now, you’re going to use the Advantages/Disadvantages Process to focus on having what you want in life. Remember to let go of both the advantages and the disadvantages. Releasing on both sides of the equation will pull the goal of financial freedom and abundance into your conscious awareness.

Does that come from wanting approval, control, or security/survival?
Whichever want it is: Could you allow yourself to let it go?
What’s a disadvantage to you in having financial freedom or abundance?
If none comes up, release on that. Then, determine if there’s any sense of wanting approval, control, or security underneath it.

Remember, if you don’t feel like you have financial freedom or abundance in your life now, there are probably hidden disadvantages to having financial freedom or abundance. So, stay as open to this process as you can, and allow yourself to focus on whatever thought or feeling first comes to mind. Then release it. Until you uncover the hidden disadvantages, they’ll keep running your life.

Could you just set the want free?
Repeat the advantages and disadvantages questions in alternation a minimum of nine times before stopping, making sure to release on every layer. As I have already mentioned, I have sometimes done advantages and disadvantages on a single topic for more than an hour at a sitting. In fact, many times even longer than that. Because each advantage and disadvantage together form a whole layer of feeling about that particular topic, as you let them go, you will be getting closer to having the financial freedom and abundance that you’ve always wanted.

Really experience it deeply and fully.
