隊員総会 The General Meeting of JICA Volunteers

今日から3日間の隊員総会が始まりました

朝9時半から市内のホテルでJICAソロモン支所の所長講話を皮切りに帰国隊員の最終報告が行われます

私はトップバッターで若干緊張しましたが、30分の持ち時間ピッタリに終わることができました

今回帰国隊員は全部で11名のため2日がかりです

それが終わると1年次が終了する隊員の中間報告がありますが、合間に各分科会やワークシャップなどをはさみ、総会は3日間フルにおこなわれます

しかし私自身はすでに今総会におけるデューティーを終えたのでとても気楽です

 

 

Today the general meeting of JICA volunteers of three days had started.

At 9:30 it started by the lecture of the director of JICA Solomon office and the final reports of term finished volunteers are following.

I was the first presenter and little bit nervous but I could finish my term just in given 30 minutes.

This time the finishing volunteers are totally 11 and it takes 2 days.

After finishing the final reports the interim reports by the half term finished volunteers will follow.

Sometimes the workshops and the sub meetings will be held between the sessions and totally it will take 3 full days.

However I already finished my duty in this meeting and very relax now.

月蝕 The Luna-Ecripse

今日の夕方空を見ると東の空に上ったばかりの月がものすごく大きく見えました

そのときはカメラを持っていなかったので、帰宅してから例の望遠レンズで撮影しましたがそのときはすでに普通の満月に戻っていました

約1か月前にスーパーフルムーンを撮影してからちょうど28日で次の満月です

夜10時にもう一度月を見ると何故か月が欠けています

エッと思ってカメラを取り出して撮影したのですが、犬がまとわりついてちょっとボケてしまいました

しかし満月のはずが30%近く欠けていますので明らかに月蝕が起こっていたのです

もしもこれが日本だったら大騒ぎでみんな外に出て月を眺めているはずですが、ここではまったく報道もなく、偶然気が付いて写真に収めました

 

 

This early evening I saw the full moon on the east and it seemed so big.

I didin’t have a camera in this time and after went back home I took it with long lens.

But the moon already back to general full moon.

Since about one month ago I took the super full moon and it past 28days now ant it was next full moon.

At 10:00 pm I watched the moon again but the moon was not full.

I was surprised and soon took a picture but it was little lose focus.

But it must be a Luna-eclipse.

If it was in Japan the most of the people watched the moon but in this country there was no news on the paper neither on the radio.

I just realized by chance and fortunately I got some pictures.

ヒレカツ丼 Filet Pork Cutlet Donburi

昨夜のディナーはヒレカツ丼です

まず豚ヒレ肉の繊維と脂身を完全に取り除き、塩、胡椒とニンニクで下味をつけます

小麦粉をまぶして溶き卵に一度浸けてからパン粉をまぶします

高めの温度で揚げて一口大に切ります

炊き立てのご飯を丼に盛って、その上に千切りキャベツをたっぷりと乗せ、その上にヒレカツを並べて、トッピングにパクチーの葉を少し乗せて完成です

その上から青シソドレッシングをかけていただきます

カツ丼は普通ネギといっしょに甘辛醤油で卵とじにして上に乗せますが、この青シソドレッシングがさっぱりした感じで意外にトンカツにあいます

 

 

My dinner of last night was “Filet pork cutlet donburi”.

Remove the tissue and fat from the filet pork and seasoning with the salt, pepper and garlic.

Next sprinkle flour all over the meat and put into the beaten egg then sprinkle bred crumbs.

Deep fry them and cut in bite size.

Put the hot rice in a bowl and put fine chopped cabbage on it and put the cut fried pork on it.

Finally put some coriander leaves as a topping.

I had it with green shiso-dressing.

Usually the pork donburi is barely cooked with long onion and egg but plain taste of this dressing was so nice.

商談 The Business

今日朝8時に大家さんに行って最後の日割り家賃を払ってきました

そのあと行きつけのパナティナプラザに食糧の買い出しに行っているときに電話が鳴って「黄色い車の持ち主か？」と聞かれました

駐車場の私の車のすぐ隣からかけているということで行ってみると、上品そうな身なりのソロモン人のご婦人がトヨタRab4を止めて待っていました

私のマーチについて概略を話し、価格を$25,000というと、かなり乗り気なようです

留学先から戻ってくる娘のために小さな車を探しているということでした

お住まいはホニアラの最高級住宅地のタサヘだということで、お金持ちらしくかなり有望な顧客です

とりあえずご主人に相談してまた電話するということでした

 

This morning at 8:00 I visited my landlord to pay the last house rental fee.

After then I went to the Panatina Plaza for shopping some foods and my mobile phone rang and asked me “Are you the owner of the yellow small vehicle?”

She called me at just next of my car in the parking lot.

Soon I went down to the parking and found a Solomon lady who looks elegant in the Toyota Rab4.

I told the outline of my March and price of $25,000 and she was very interested in it.

She is looking for a small vehicle for her daughter who will coming back from learning abroad soon.

She lived in Tasahe that is the most high-class residential area in Honiara must be a very rich family.

She must be a very good customer.

She will call me again after she discuss with her hasband.

 

銀行口座解約 Closing the Bank Account

今日は銀行口座を解約しました

9時オープンの銀行の入り口に10分前から並んで、先頭で窓口に到着

しかし窓口の係りに口座解約を依頼すると、窓口でなく個別相談のブースに行くように指示され、一つだけ空いていたブースに入りました

日本の銀行と同じように解約の理由を聞かれ、それを紙に書かされました

次に小切手帳を返却ですが、残った小切手すべてに斜線を引き無効という文字を書き込みます

さらに一枚だけ小切手を残し、それに口座残高を記入します

そのまま預けて1時間後に取りに来るよう言われ、指定の1時間後に行くと口座残高の現金が用意されていて、これを受け取り解約は終了です

ほかの隊員から聞いたところでは一日がかりだったというのでちょっと心配していましたが、9時から10時半の1時間半で済みました

 

Today I closed my bank account.

I had stood at the front of the bank door 10 minutes prior to the opening 9:00 am.

I arrived at the counter teller and asked her to close an account but she said go to the special booth.

I entered to the only one vacant booth and asked the teller.

As well as Japanese bank they asked the reason of the closing and I wrote on the paper the reason and my signature.

Next I crossed out the all remained checks and wrote “void” except for only one check.

And I wrote the final balance of the account on the check.

I kept all of them and 1 hour later visited there again and received remained cash.

The other JOCV said that he had spent almost one day for closing the account and I was little anxious but it was not so bad.

It took only one and half hours of 9:00 to 10:30.
