新隊員到着 New Volunteers Arriving

今日は新隊員が４名到着の予定です
今月３日には２名がその任期を終えて帰国しましたが、彼らは平成２０年度の３次隊で、今回は２２年度の３次隊になります
ＪＩＣＡは現在、年に２回（５月と１１月）にボランティアの募集をおこない、年に４回（６月、９月、１月と３月）彼らを派遣しています
基本的にボランティアは全員６５日間の派遣前訓練を受けることになっており、ＪＩＣＡの理念や国際協力全般と派遣先の言語の訓練を受けます
訓練所は日本国内に２箇所長野県の駒ヶ根市と福島県の二本松市にあり、派遣先国によって訓練所が分かれます
派遣先はアフリカ大陸が最も多く、ＪＯＣＶの約半数はアフリカに派遣されます
ソロモン諸島は暑い国ですが、アフリカは平均的にもっと暑く、埃っぽいようです
彼らはその中で過酷な生活に耐えています
ソロモンで不便ながら不自由ではない暮らしをしている自分が本当にラッキーに思えます

Today four new Japanese volunteer will be arriving at Solomon Islands.
Two volunteers had gone back to Japan at the 3rd of this month and they were the third dispatch of 2008 and this time is the third dispatch of 2010.
JICA is recently calling for volunteers twice a year (May and November) and dispatching four times a year (June, September, January and March).
Basically all volunteers have to receive the training course of 65 days and learn the outline of JICA, general international cooperation and the local languages of host countries there.
The training centers are two in Japan. One is at Komagane in Nagano and other one is at Nihonmatsu in Fukushima. They will be separated according to the host countries.
The most of all host countries are in Africa and about a half of the JOCVs are dispatched to African countries.
Solomon Islands is very hot country but African countries must be much more hot and dusty.
They are living such a cruel circumstances.
I feel that I’m lucky to live in such a not enough convenient but not inconvenient circumstance.
