6/20 two example sentences

2017年06月20日 | 日記
I studied English this morning.
I found two interesting example sentences.
One is “Would you tell him to call me back?”
Why is it interesting?
You, him and me, three characters appear in this short sentence.
The another is “My grandpa would travel around the world by ship.”
It reminded me of my grandma who had already died more than 40 years ago.
She would play “花札”Japanese card game by herself.
At that time, she couldn’t move well.
Then she set the pillow and played the game performing two players roll in turns.
I thought I would have played the game with her.

6/17 both Karaoke and English listening

2017年06月17日 | 日記
I went to Karaoke the day before yesterday.
I repeated singing a song “青葉城恋歌”, but it is very difficult for me because I have never really heard of it before.
While I was singing, I got the tip to improve my English listening skill.
What do you think the tip is?
I think the tip for both good karaoke and good English listening are the same.
It is absolutely important that we have to copy the original sound MANY MANY times.
I will get to be good English listener and good singer someday.

6/14 desert island

2017年06月14日 | 日記
If I were in desert island, what title books would I read?
I’ll bring there “大地(The good earth)”, ”貧しき人々”and ”麻雀放浪記”.
I read “The good earth”, one of my father’s books covered green, when I was low teens.
The time has passed since when I read it, so I had forgotten the detail except it was very long .
“貧しき人々” is a short beautiful story written by Dostoevski. It is his first work.
I was very moved to read it.
I was into reading ”麻雀放浪記” when I was in my 30s. Every each character is very unique and attractive nevertheless their character was broken without exception.
I think these books are most suitable one to kill the time on island.

6/10 home town

2017年06月10日 | 日記
I have three hometowns, Shimonoseki, Hiroshima and Yamaguchi.
I like every each town, above all Hiroshima, where I lived from 3 year old to 10 year old,
is my favorite town because I have my first memory in my life.
Our family often went to see the movies, samurai stories, on Sundays and ate curry at a restaurant in front of Hiroshima station.
Oh, No! I couldn’t remember the restaurant’s name I had been remembered.
Anyway watching movies was the most popular
leisure in those days. Now I sometimes visit there to watch a baseball game.

6/7 barber shop

2017年06月07日 | 5Ps
I went to the barber shop near my house on foot.
I go there once a month.
The shop offers us only hair cut without shaving and shampooing so it costs me 1,000 yen and takes about 10 minutes. I don’t like long wait. I feel the barber shop is very convenient.
I don’t need shaving at the barber shop because beard will soon grow out after shaving.
And there is one more reason I go, it is that they are polite and skillful, moreover the shop is always clean.
