ワグナー、無念の３位で代表を逃す

After placing fourth in the short program, Ashley Wagner was second in the free skate and placed third overall. She crossed her fingers as she waited for her score in the free. It was a good one, 122.15 points, but her total for two events wasn't enough to boost the 18-year-old from Alexandria, Va., into the second spot.

"I'm just focusing on how far I've come this year," said Wagner, fourth at nationals last year and third in 2008.

"It's been an incredibly stressful year. The fact that I made it to this nationals and put out what I did, I'm happy with that. … Third place isn't actually too bad considering the year that I've had, so I'm okay."

コーエンを上回ることは確実。ワグナーよりも高得点で、１９０点前後の得点になりそう。
実績のある選手で、１番手と見られていたので、女子一人目に決まりそうだ。

Opens with a double axel. Triple flip, triple toe, hangs onto the landing. Like Wagner, Flatt does most of her triples later in the program in order to get more bonus. Triple lutz in combination, clean. Three jump combination, great point getter. One last triple, a salchow, and it’s clean. Skating with a lot of energy and determination, but very controlled. Audience is on their feet at the conclusion and Flatt looks relieved and thrilled with tears in her eyes as she bows.

コーエン、フリーの得点伸びず

ＳＰ３位のフラット、１位の長洲を残し、ワグナーに次ぐ２位。
３回連続五輪出場は厳しくなってきた。

Skating to Moonlight Sonata, looking very elegant in navy blue. Triple lutz, double toe, slight step out on landing. Triple flip in combination but two foots the landing. Triple loop and again, two foots the landing. Beautiful spins and choreography. Awkward fall on triple flip. Rebounds with a double axel and then triple salchow. Skating tentatively, not with the focus and determination of her short program performance. This wasn’t the solid performance she needed in order to secure her place on the Olympic team. Her fate is in Flatt and Nagasu’s hands.

欧州選手権は、コストナーが３度目の優勝

世界ランキング２位だが、ＧＰファイナルには残れなかった。
転倒したが、優勝した。
