久々に家で映画を観た。「ALWAYS三丁目の夕日」だ。
観よう観ようと思っていて、なかなか観られなかった映画だ。
観る前まではなんだか最近流行の（最近日本に居ませんが…）昭和ノスタルジーを前面に出したいやらしい感じかなぁ、くらいに思ってました。
でも観たら、お勧めです…ストロングリーに…
事実を誇張したり、美化していたりはしているだろう。でも一つの映画としてとても良かったと思う。
そしてあの時代の皆の幸せは、ある意味もう二度と僕らの手には入らない物なのだろう、と思った。
観た方も相当多いと思けれども、映画では戦後の高度経済成長期の様子が生き生きと描かれている。
発展によって幸せが得られることを信じて疑わない人々、発展を信じて疑わない人々、そして発展していることをまざまざと感じられた人々。
その様子が描かれている。
そしてそれと同時に失っていくものも描かれている。
登場する誰もがその発展の先に失うなんて思っても見ないものを。
時代は変わっても大事なものというのは変わらないのではないか、それが製作者の伝えたいことであるのではないかと思う。
それと同時にエチオピアがとてもダブった。
発展を信じて疑わない、発展が幸せと信じて疑わない、発展をまざまざと感じられる、どれもが当てはまる気がした。
風景や人々の雰囲気、人と人の近さも今のエチオピアに似ている。
まだ舗装されていない土の道路、どんどんと建設されていく高層建築、近所同士の人間の心の距離。
そして一つ気が付いたのが子供達だ。
子供が大人をからかうシーンがあるのだが、エチオピアで自分が子供から外国人であること、またアジア人であることをからかわれたこととダブって見えた。
エチオピアのそれらは決して気持ちの良いものではないけれども、でもその子供達はからかうくらいに元気が良い、と言えるのではないだろうか。
現在の日本の子供がどこまで何をからかっているのかは分からないが、エチオピアの子供達は日本の子供達に比べて「子供らしい」し、活気があり元気である。
ここで生活していると日本が経済成長と共に失ってしまった色々な大事なものが、人と人とに関わる大事なものが、沢山残っているように感じる。
今僕の目からもまさかそれらが経済発展と共に失われるようにはとても見えないが、日本がかつてそうであったように、気がつかぬ間に薄れて行ってしまうものなのかもしれない。
エチオピアの人々だって、そんなことを言ったって余り誰も信じないだろうが、この国のその部分がいつまでも残っていて欲しいと、生活をしていて強く思う。
それが僕のこの国での生活を幸せにしてくれている大きな要因であるのだから。
ちなみに写真の少年達はからかう様な子達ではありません！
でも礼儀正しく元気でした。
I saw a movie "ALWAYS the sunset of San cho-me". It has been a while since I've seen my last movie in my house.
This is a movie which I couldn't make it to see although I was craving for see it.
I thought that this movie might be a kind of movie filled with a nostalgy of Showa era which all the rage among Japanese people.
But after I saw it, It is a movie which I strongly recommend...
Although it might exaggerate and romanticized about the past, it was wonderful as a movie.
I felt that kind of happiness which shown in the movie is not available for us to obtain.
In the movie, a state of Japanese rapid economic growth era is cleary discribed.
The people who never doubt the development, people never doubt the happiness is obtained by the development and people who felt the development vividly.
And in this movie, those people are described also vividly.
Also it describes something they've lost at the same time, which nobody in the movie expect to loose.
An intension of the director might be something important never changes even if it beyonds the era.
When I was watching the movie, the present Ethiopia is overlapped to this movie.
The people who never doubt the development, people never doubt the happiness is obtained by the development and people who felt the development vividly...
Every of those apply to the one I felt frm the movie.
Scenary, atmosphere of the poeple and the distance bitween person and person are also overlapped.
Unpaved road, high rize buildings under construction and the distance bitween neighbors.
Anothe thing I notice is about the children.
There is such scene in the movie that children making fun of adult and it was overlapped with my experience that Ethiopian children made fun of me because of I am foreigner or my Asian looks.
Those of Ethiopia are not so pleasant, but we can say those children are lively as to made fun of me.
Although I'm really not sure that how lively they are the Japanese children but Ethiopian children are more child like and lively compare with Japanese children.
As I have my life in here, something we've lost with our developement that are strongly related to relationship bitween person and person are still remain a lot.
Also from my point of view, it is not seems to be gone in the future with the development of this country, but just like we were, it suppose to be gone without our notice.
No Ethiopian people will believe if I say it contains such problem.
But I strongly hope and wish this wonerful thing about Ethiopia will last forever.
Because that is what makes my life in Ethiopia happy.
By the way, the children in the picture are not such children who made fun of me...
