◎The Vertical Path of Youth-17
The New Testament is written in the direction of the horizontal path, but Jesus Christ was originally a practitioner of the vertical path. He had a divine experience, but he was also a great user of psychic powers, and he did not achieve unity with God before he was crucified. The Gospel of Thomas is written in the direction of the vertical path.
From the Gospel of Thomas, an apocryphal book of the New Testament.
『17
Jesus said, "I will give you what eye has not seen, ear has not heard, hand has not touched, and what has not entered into the heart of man."』
(Quoted from the Nag Hammadi Texts 2: Gospels / Translated by Ken Arai and others / Iwanami Shoten, p. 24)
This refers to the person before his parents were born, and he is the catalyst for this.
"18
The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us what our end will be."
Jesus said to them, "Have you ever found the beginning, that you may seek the end? For where the beginning is, there the end will be. Blessed is the one who is at the beginning, for he will know the end, and will never taste of death."
(Quoted from the above book, p. 24)
That which is equal in beginning and end is the universal consciousness, the whole world, the past, present, future, life and death all mixed together.
『22
Jesus saw the little ones who were being fed with milk. He said to his disciples, "These little ones who are being fed with milk are like those who enter the kingdom."
They said to him, "If we were little, will we enter the kingdom?"
Jesus said to them, "When you make two into one, and the inside as the outside, and the outside as the inside, and the above as below; when you make male and female into one, and make the male not male, and the female not female; when you make an eye for an eye, and a hand for a hand, and a foot for a foot, and an image for an image, then you will enter [into the kingdom]." 』
(Quoted from the above book, p. 26)
"When you make the two one, and make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, then you will make the man and the woman one, and make the man not man and the woman not woman" means not being picky, and realizing androgyny. At that moment, you can awaken to great enlightenment. But this is not about LGBTQ.
At that moment, you will be the whole world, so your eyes, hands and feet will be one, and it will not be an issue whether you make forbidden images or not.
49
Jesus said, "Blessed are the single, the chosen, for you will find the kingdom. For if you are from there, you will go there again."
(Quoted from the above book, p. 33)
The single is someone who has already achieved androgyny and is no longer picky. If so, he can achieve vertical enlightenment.
75
Jesus said, "Many are standing at the door, but only the single will enter the bride's room."
(Quoted from the above book, p. 40)
Many people have the potential for vertical enlightenment. However, not all of them can enter the bride's room, only the single, who have achieved androgyny and are no longer picky, can enter.
In Gnosticism, the individual refers to the original man, the perfect man. This refers to Adam before he was expelled from the Garden of Eden.
The Gospel of Philip, §71, shows that Adam before he was separated from Eve was the perfect original man. The way to achieve this is to reunite with Eve, which becomes the holy marriage.
There are several stages for people who have seen God, including a stage where they achieve androgyny, and beyond that there is probably a stage where they enter the bridal room.
