英語の問題１）気候について：「問題」
たまにはちょっと視点を変えたものも面白いかと思い、時々「英語の問題」を出すことにしました。是非やってみてください。簡単そう見えますが、なかなか手強いかも、ですよ。きっと勉強になると思います。楽しんでやってくださいね。
今回はアメリカにいる友人から最近来たメールを題材にしました。あ、もちろん、虫は食っていません（笑）。前に僕が送ったメールに「そっちの天気はどう？いい天気だったらいいけど…」と書いたことに対して返事をくれたものです。
さて、文章の文言を数語毎に空白にしてあります。文脈、文法、表現、書き手の気持ち等を考慮しつつ、fill in the blanksしてみてください。問題（空白）は全部で２５あります。配点は一つ正解で２点。５０点満点です。さて、皆さんは何点取れるかな？
ちなみに、このような形のテストのことをclose testと呼びます。僕のイリノイ大学のアドバイザーであった、Lyle Backman博士が考案した英語の読解テストの一タイプです。詳細な分析を行うと、正解率の高い人ほど総合的英語力が高いとか。さて、しっかりチャレンジしてみてくださいね。正解は次回に発表しま～す。Here you go!
