先日は、OB会のお手伝いをする日でした。昼食後、久しぶりにJR田町駅西口（芝浦口）を散歩してみました。
駅から1階に降りることなく、真新しい高層ビル群と通路でつながっていました。その途中、モノレールが間近に走行していました。
The other day was a day to help out at an alumni meeting. After lunch, I took a walk around the west exit (Shibaura exit) of JR Tamachi station for the first time in a while.
Without going down to the ground floor from the station, I was connected to a group of brand new skyscrapers by a passageway. On the way there, the monorail was running close by.
ずいぶんと景色が変わり、JR線路下をくぐって旧・芝浜から大通りに出ました。三菱自動車本社ビルの一角が更地となっていました。
The scenery had changed considerably, and we passed under the JR line and came out from the old Shibahama to the main street. A corner of the Mitsubishi Motors headquarters building had been cleared.
西郷・勝両雄会見の碑は保管中とのことで、再開発が完成したら戻されるそうです。大きな地上29階地下2階の高層ビルができたら、さらに景色が変わるでしょうね。
The monument to the meeting between Saigou and Katsu is in storage and will be returned when the redevelopment is completed. The view will change even more when a large 29-story high-rise building with two basement levels is built.
