After Traci left,
Things are getting settle down.

Then I remember the important thing.😨

My boss is going to take a long vacation.
It starts last Monday and until Saturday

He was officially commended by the president for his long service with the company.
And the prize winner is given the special paid holidays ;It's 4 days!!


Still it should be taken at once.
So he decided to trip to The United Kingdom 🇬🇧

That means I should cope with whatever happened.(￣◇￣;)

何かあっても彼はいない。
一人で戦うしかない💧

On Tuesday morning,
It was the first day after 3 days in a row holidays.

Usually it's busy beginning of week.

But the reality was so tougher than I thought.

Unexpected things happened one after another 😫

想定外の出来事連発

My important assignment is go through the customs clearance smoothly.

I had to take care of several shipments last week which includes our new item.

When it comes to pass the customs.
It requires with a lot of documents.
Likewise MSDS, Test Certificate, picture.

And things getting worse,
The customs whose check is getting tighter than before these days.

I got a phone call from our forwarder more than ten times a day.

' We need CAS number to declare'

'Please kindly advise us the flash point for this item'.

化審法番号とか引火点とか一個ずつパラパラと💢
まとめて言え❗️

一体いつになったら輸入許可なるねーん

I asked our technical department in charge to cope with it urgently.

However it takes time to check it and prepare the document to submit.

In the end we didn't get permission to import the new item.😭

After Traci left for the United States,
My boss and I got an email from Traci.

感謝の気持ちが丁寧に書かれていた。

あの夜のことを思い出した。
会席コースを食べているとき、私は特に意識はしていなかったが魚の名前や野菜、調理方法などスラスラ話した。

My boss asked me one after another.

えー私に聞くなんて！(◎_◎;)


Thanks to I took a English conversation class for more than five years, I could explain properly.

長いこと英会話レッスン行ってたのも役に立った。

Actually it have him a shock.

資格だけでは様々な場面に対応できない。
だから彼もまだまだと思ったのだ。

私は日々そんな気持ちと戦っている。
Because he is English level at much higher than I am.

鯛⇨sea bream

海苔⇨seaweed

It's better way to explain it as follows,
It's TAI in Japanese, it's called sea bream in English

My English conversation teacher told me 'People in the US, they don't like whole grilled fish.
It's so scary.
姿焼き状態の魚はあまり好まない。
超〜怖いねんて😱
でもその先生は奥様が日本人、日本在住二十年以上なので焼き魚大好き❤と言っていた。

And at the end of the message,
She may come to Japan again in August!

That's why there's a pretty big exhibition is held in Tokyo at the end of August.

She wants to come to see it if her schedule will let her go.

On the way to the restaurant, I saw Traci was yawning several time in the taxi.

Are you suffering from jet lag?
Or tired?

She answered with smiling,
I'm tired a little.
I really admired it.

You must stay up late every night to prepare for the presentation ,right?
Your presentation was impressing.


Oh really!!
Thank you saying that.
Yes...It took a lot of time to prepare.

We are going to have some Japanese food there.
Have you tried Japanese food before?

Yes I have. I tried Ramen noodle 🍜

The restaurant serves dishes one by one Kaiseki style 会席コース^_^

Some times I explain the ingredients, Japanese vegetables, fish and so on.


Traci seems to enjoy the Japanese food but eats like birds.
美味しそうに食べてるけど、ちょびっとしか食べてない

She feels bad?
しんどいんかな？

I talked to her.

The answer is so simple.
She's on a diet.

ダイエット中💦
よかった、調子悪いんかと思った。


Anyway the long day is over at last.

After the dinner,
My boss told me 'Thank you for your help.
Still I have to brush up my English skill.
There's a long way to go.'

もっと勉強にせなあかんなぁ〜

So do I...

I said good by to Traci and hugged.

I went back the meeting room.
With listening to her presentation,
I found that Traci spent a lot of time to prepare.

Actually I 'm not familiar with their products.
Still her explanation was easy to understand so-called crystal clear.
Additionally she 's well informed about our clients.

My boss speaks English very very well.
He has the first grade of 英検 and TOEIC score is more than 900.
Even though that high level English skill he has, Sometimes he was taking time to find a suitable word to translate in Japanese.


それだけのスキルがあってもネイティブ スピーカーの通訳は大変なのだ。

So He and I thought together , helped each other.

今、何時？⌚️

It's ten to seven!

もう7時10分前！

内線電話が鳴った。
守衛さんから会社の駐車場にタクシーが来たと。

そろそろプレゼンも終わり。

いいタイミング🚖

I'm getting hungry

Now we are off to the restaurant 😄🍴

My boss was calling me repeatedly....
Of course I see the reason why.

He's been wanting for us with other guest at the meeting room.

They got there as planned.
彼らは予定通り到着。

I answered his call and asked him wait twenty minutes.

After hanging up the phone,
I talked to Traci we'll reach our office in about twenty minutes or so.

She said 'Thank you for the tour. I really enjoyed Osaka castle. There's some things I would like to ask you.'

なになに？お願い？

If possible I would like to use projector to make presentation.'


プ、プ、プロジェクター⁉️

たしかうちの部署にあるのは今、故障（ ; ; ）
もう一台技術部にあるはず‥でも誰か使ってら終わり💦

I called my boss on the spot.

But his answer is No(ﾟoﾟ;;
The things are as I expected.

So sorry,
We have one but our technical division is using it.
Traci said Don't worry about it, then I use my laptop 💻 it's in my bag🎒

プレゼンすんのにコンピュータくらい持ってるわな。

We're here at last.
やっとこさ着いた。
でもまだこれからプレゼン。
疲れてる場合ではない。

スーツケースは営業さんに任せて、車から降りた。

I found that one of her bag is so heavy

気配りが足りなかったことを謝りながら、ようやく会議室のドアをノックした。

My boss and the man who is the guest from China were chatting.

We finally get together.

I called another sales rep to start the presentation .

ここからは新商品の価格や契約条件等の話なので私の上司がメイン通訳。
私はパシリ。とりあえず同席しているだけ。
何かあれば動かなければならない。

そしてこの後夕食会がある。

My boss have booked the restaurant which is a bit of fancy.

But the meeting seems to last longer; takes much time we expected.

I became a clock watcher again to see if we can make the reservation at 6:30pm.
At this rate we'll be late.
So I get out of the meeting room with seeing my boss's eyes, and made a phone call to the restaurant to rearrange the time to 7:30pm.

喉がカラカラ。
電話した隙に自販機でお茶を買って飲んだ。
500ミリ一本では渇きは潤せず追加で買った。

It's a long day.

それにしても長い一日。
