ALBION are converting Do-heon Kim's loan move into a permanent deal.
The Baggies have notified the midfielder's club, Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma, they are exercising their option to sign the Korea Republic international in a ￡550,000 transfer.
The option was agreed when Kim joined Albion on loan until the end of last season on January 31 after impressing during a training spell the previous month.
The Baggies have agreed personal terms with the 25-year-old on a two-year contract, plus a further year's option in the club's favour.
Kim will officially become a permanent signing on June 1.
Tony Mowbray said: "The four months he has already spent with us will have been a big benefit to him in terms of integrating with the squad and overcoming the language barrier."
"I'm now looking forward to working with Kim next season."
"His loan spell was all about setting into a new club and culture but he's got undoubted talent and he'll have a more significant part to play next season."
Kim was limited to one start and six sub appearances last term but did more than enough to impress manager Mowbray.
He made a vital contribution on the final day of the season at QPR, coming off the bench to net his first goal for the club and help clinch the Championship title.
